At what age do men reach menopause?

Now we know something about menopause. After menopause, people will face various signs of aging, and men are no exception. Men's menopause often occurs around 55 to 65 years old. During this period, the symptoms are not much worse than those of women. Not only do the various functions of the body decline, but it also often leads to excessive irritability and excitement in emotions.

Male menopause age

Male menopause is caused by the degeneration of testicular function. The degeneration and atrophy of the testicles is slow and gradual, the secretion of sex hormones is also slow, and the production of sperm does not completely disappear during menopause. Male menopause comes later and the time of occurrence is very inconsistent. The age of onset is generally around 55-65 years old. The clinical manifestations vary in severity. In mild cases, the symptoms are not even noticeable, while in severe cases, the symptoms affect life and work, and the patients feel very painful.

The mechanism of male menopause syndrome is mainly due to testicular atrophy, decreased testosterone secretion, feedback stimulation of the pituitary gland to increase secretion function, atrophic testicles to reduce the response of gonadotropin, resulting in an imbalance in the body's sex hormone regulation function.

Four major clinical manifestations of male menopause:

1. Mental symptoms: such as depression, nervousness, nervousness, mood swings, delusions, etc.;

2. Symptoms of autonomic nervous system dysfunction: such as palpitations, chest discomfort, dizziness, tinnitus, hot flashes, sweating, loss of appetite, abnormal bowel movements, insomnia, forgetfulness, etc.;

3. Sexual dysfunction or abnormality;

4. Body shape changes: muscle relaxation and body fattening.
