Male circumcision recovery period

Male circumcision recovery period

Once a man has phimosis, he should undergo surgery immediately. And phimosis can only be treated with surgery, because phimosis will seriously affect the health of men. Usually, most men's bodies will be affected by phimosis, so as long as the phimosis problem is found, surgery will be performed immediately. But how long is the recovery period for men to have circumcision?

How long can circumcision be done?

Circumcision surgery only takes about ten minutes, and recovery is usually complete in one week to ten days. It is recommended to go to a regular hospital for surgery, which will not affect normal work and life. Prepuce and phimosis affect male fertility and endanger the physical and mental health of men and their spouses.

For the situation after surgery, anti-inflammatory treatment is needed in time to avoid infection. Phimosis has a great impact on future sexual life. In severe cases, it can also lead to glans inflammation and prostatitis. In life, you should reduce irritating food, avoid greasy food, avoid drinking, avoid seafood, avoid fishy and irritating food, eat more fruits and vegetables, and exercise appropriately.

The best time for circumcision at different ages

1. Infancy: After a male baby is born, under normal circumstances, the foreskin and the glans penis are a whole. There is a layer of epithelial cells on the inner plate of the foreskin that adheres to the glans penis and cannot turn up and wrap the entire glans penis by itself. Forcibly peeling the foreskin off the glans penis will cause discomfort.

2. Boys (before 3-4 years old): At this age, the foreskin is too long and the phimosis generally does not need to be treated. However, if the foreskin of a boy affects urination, or if the foreskin is too long and causes repeated inflammation or even urinary tract infection, he should receive surgical treatment and circumcision as soon as possible. If the infection is serious, the dorsal foreskin should be cut first, and then the circumcision surgery should be performed.

4. Childhood (4-13 years old): As the penis continues to develop, it naturally erects from time to time, causing the foreskin to be stretched and then retracted. The back-and-forth movement causes a slow separation between the foreskin and the glans penis. At this time, what really affects the development of the child's penis is generally the narrowness of the foreskin, rather than excessive foreskin or phimosis.

If you rashly circumcise your foreskin without a doctor's professional diagnosis, it may cause the foreskin to be too short during erection, leading to painful penis curvature.

5. Puberty (14-18 years old): At this time, the glans penis and corpus cavernosum grow rapidly, and the glans penis finally slowly reveals its "true face". If the foreskin is found to be too long or phimosis, it should be surgically removed as soon as possible.

How long does it take to perform phimosis? It is generally best to detect and treat it early. If it is not treated early, this surgery must be done during puberty, because the body is in the growth stage at this time, which is conducive to recovery. In this regard, parents must accompany their children to regular hospitals to prevent their children from being too shy and causing resistance.
