Epididymitis is a treatable disease. Of course, after treatment, it is easy to have lumps. Epididymal lumps that appear after treatment also need to be treated in time, because if they are not treated in time, they may cause greater health problems for men. Below, we will introduce the causes, symptoms and treatment methods of epididymal lumps! 1. Causes of lumps after epididymitis treatment Epididymitis is a common disease among young people. When the body's resistance is low, pathogenic bacteria such as E. coli, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus will take the opportunity to enter the vas deferens and retrograde into the epididymis to cause inflammation. Therefore, this disease is more common in urethritis, prostatitis, and seminal vesiculitis. Generally, patients with epididymitis will have nodules, which mostly occur in the head or tail of the epididymis, mostly in the tail. After the epididymis is infected, the residual nodules that grow on the back and head are not lumps. 2. Food Symptoms and Characteristics of Epididymal Lumps Local examination of the epididymis shows a hard lump with mild tenderness and discomfort, the spermatic cord is slightly thickened, and the diameter of the vas deferens is thickened. Chronic epididymitis can be easily confused with epididymal tuberculosis. The latter mainly relies on the enlargement of the beaded seminal vesicles of the vas deferens, sterile abscesses and the discovery of tuberculosis in the urine. Bladder ulcers under cystoscopy or urography are also helpful for diagnosis. Testicular tumors also need to be distinguished from chronic epididymitis. Testicular tumors are manifested by obvious enlargement and heaviness of the testicles. Epididymal tumors are rare and require active differential diagnosis. 3. Treatment of epididymitis nodules Epididymitis is characterized by scrotal swelling and pain, which may radiate to the lower abdomen and thighs, making it difficult to walk and feeling nodules or lumps. In acute cases, the pain is severe and very sensitive to touch, and may radiate to the waist. In acute cases, the volume may double within a few hours, and the white blood cell count may increase by two to three cubic millimeters, which is often confused with testicular torsion. If the pain is relieved by gently lifting the scrotum with your hands, it means it is epididymitis; while testicular torsion will intensify the pain after lifting the scrotum. In chronic epididymitis, the vas deferens thickens, the spermatic cord thickens, the pain is dull, and local examination of the epididymis shows a hard lump with mild tenderness. In addition to storing sperm, the epididymis can also secrete epididymal fluid, which contains certain hormones, enzymes and specific nutrients. They have the function of sperm maturation, so you must be careful about the pathological changes in the epididymis, check and treat them in time to prevent adverse consequences such as infertility, which will affect your life and work. Therefore, you should pay attention to your own health problems. |
