Pre-examination contraindications :

(1) The examinee must make an appointment for the procedure;

(2) Before the examination, you need to explain your usual erectile function and ejaculation latency to the doctor;

(3) A few days before the physical examination, pay attention to your diet. Do not eat too much greasy or indigestible food, do not drink alcohol, and do not take medicines that may damage liver and kidney function;

(4 The day before the physical examination, you should pay attention to rest, avoid strenuous exercise and emotional excitement, and ensure adequate sleep to avoid affecting the results of the physical examination. It is best to take a shower.

(5) If you have ever had surgery, please bring along relevant medical records and information;

Requirements for inspection :

(1) During the examination, the patient should lie flat on the tester and should not move around randomly.

(2) Actively cooperate with doctors and take good care of equipment.

Inspection process

(1) Stamp test: Use an untorn stamp with double holes. Before going to bed, wrap it around the penis and stick it to the overlapping part. If the hole of the stamp is torn when you wake up in the morning, it means that you had an effective erection during the night. If it is detached along the overlapping part, it is meaningless. This method is convenient, simple and primitive, but it cannot estimate the degree of erection or the number of erections at night.

(2) The penis circumference is measured using a tape measure with one end connected to a square buckle. Before going to bed, use tape to secure the tape to the penis. Wrap the tape around the penis and pass it through the buckle, allowing it to stretch and move without resistance. Then read the base number on the scale. The next morning, observe the scale again and take another reading. The difference between the two numbers is the increase in circumference during nocturnal erection. The normal increase ranges from 1.5 to 4.1 cm. If an impotence patient has an increase of more than 1.5 cm, it is functional impotence. If it is less than 1.5 cm, it may be organic impotence.

(3) The three colored plastic strips of the penis test ring are arranged in parallel on the buckle. The three strips can break at a tensile force of 2.94 (blue), 4.41 (red), and 5.88 (white) kN respectively. If none of the strips break after a good night's sleep, it indicates that there was no effective erection at night. If only the first strip (blue) breaks, it means that the hardness is minimal and sexual intercourse can be carried out, but insertion is more difficult. If the second strip (red) also breaks, it means that the hardness is sufficient for insertion. If the last strip (white) also breaks, it means that the hardness is good and it can be used as a screening diagnosis.

(4) Nocturnal erection meter A nocturnal erection meter is usually composed of three parts: a probe, a host computer, and a recorder. It can record the entire process of changes in the length and diameter of the penis overnight. From the recording curve, the number of erections, the duration, length, and diameter of each erection, and the time interval between two adjacent erections can be obtained.

(5) Rigiscan The Rigiscan is an instrument that can measure both the nocturnal swelling and hardness of the penis. It consists of a storage part and a small electronic computer. Before the examination, you should avoid napping, drinking, and taking medicine (except for necessary medicines) to reduce factors that affect sleep. Generally, the test is performed three times in a row. This method can quantify the duration and hardness of the penis erection.
