Relationship between heart rate and blood pressure in 45-year-old men

In life, vigorous exercise will cause our heart rate to speed up. So after vigorous exercise, the human body will gasp for air. This is because our body's oxygen supply is insufficient, and the human body needs to breathe deeply to inhale more oxygen to maintain normal life. Vigorous exercise is not recommended for patients with high blood pressure, and they should not be exposed to great stimulation, otherwise it will cause the body to be unable to breathe and thus endanger life.

This problem should be viewed in this way. First of all, under normal circumstances, heart rate and blood pressure are two different physiological indicators and are not directly related. Only under special circumstances will the two affect each other.

There are three main factors that affect blood pressure: the amount of blood pumped out each time the heart contracts, the total volume of blood, and the resistance of blood vessels to blood flow. These factors have nothing to do with heart rate. Under normal circumstances, a person's heart rate is between 60 and 100 beats per minute. If the heart rhythm is normal within this range, it will not affect blood pressure, let alone cause high blood pressure.

We know that during daily exercise, the heart rate will increase so that the heart can pump more blood to meet the body's needs, but at the same time, the blood flow rate will also increase, so the blood pressure does not change much. However, when you have certain diseases, such as arteriosclerosis, the increased heart rate will cause an increase in blood pressure, and the increase in diastolic blood pressure is more obvious.

But on the other hand, for patients with hypertension, there are requirements for the speed of heart rate, because the speed of heart rate in patients with hypertension is an influencing factor for the occurrence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Studies have shown that:

For patients with hypertension whose heart rate is greater than 84 beats/minute in a resting state, the risk of coronary heart disease increases by 1 times compared with patients with a heart rate less than 65 beats/minute; for patients with hypertension whose heart rate is greater than 79 beats/minute, the risk of death increases by 89% compared with patients with a heart rate less than 79 beats/minute.

Therefore, patients with hypertension should pay attention to their heart rate, especially when they have coronary heart disease: when the heart rate is greater than 70 beats/minute in a quiet state, measures should be taken to intervene and treat, and the treatment target is 55-60 beats/minute.
