Can I drink alcohol 17 days after circumcision?

For patients with prepuce that is too long, if the foreskin is not removed in time, it is easy to cause male diseases and may also affect sexual life. Generally speaking, it may take 17 days for the wound to heal completely after a circumcision operation, but it usually takes a month for the edema to completely subside. Therefore, it is best not to drink alcohol or eat spicy food within 17 days after the foreskin is removed, as these are not conducive to physical recovery.

Among male friends, prepuce is a very common male disease, which refers to the skin covering the penis that folds into a double layer at the glans penis. In infants and young children, the prepuce is longer and wraps around the penis, making the glans penis and the external opening of the urethra invisible. It is physiological phimosis. With the growth of age, the penis and prepuce gradually develop. During puberty, the prepuce retracts and the glans penis is exposed in adulthood. About 30% of adults still have the foreskin completely covering the glans penis.

However, if the foreskin is too long, surgery is not necessarily required. The key is whether the foreskin opening can be turned up? After turning it up, will the foreskin opening get stuck on the glans penis when the penis is erect? Or if there is a foreskin (cannot be turned up, the urethral opening is needle-shaped, etc.), or if it is often inflamed, or there is irritation from the smegma, etc., these must be treated surgically.

The main surgical methods include traditional circumcision and modern cuff stapler circumcision. Some hospitals also offer "Korean cosmetic surgery".

Postoperative precautions:

Self-precautions after circumcision surgery play a significant role in surgical recovery, and the precautions after circumcision surgery cannot be ignored.

1. It is best to rest for 1-2 days after the operation. You can rest in bed, surf the Internet or read books, etc. Try to move less to prevent postoperative bleeding.

2. Try to avoid thinking about or touching pornography, obscene magazines, Internet pictures and videos after the operation. This is because contact with these things will cause the penis to become erect, which can easily cause postoperative bleeding.

3. In terms of diet, try to eat light food and eat less spicy and irritating food.

4. Generally, the dressing should be changed every 3 days. After about 3 days, normal activities can be resumed without any major problems.

5. In addition to antibiotics, you can also take some drugs to prevent erection and relieve pain (such as Premarin, Somethicone, etc.) if necessary after the operation.

6. You may experience some discomfort in the glans penis after the operation, which is normal. Generally, this feeling will gradually disappear after about a week.
