Why is sperm bitter?

Many couples swallow semen to add some fun to their lives. Many women believe that male sperm is very nutritious. However, some women find that some men's sperm tastes bitter. In fact, this is very normal, but we do not recommend that female friends eat semen. Let's find out why sperm tastes bitter!

If a man's semen tastes bitter, it is usually related to his diet. Generally, the taste of a man's semen is a little astringent. The nutrients in semen are mainly sperm and seminal plasma, and seminal plasma contains some protein, fat, enzymes and inorganic salts. In the past, due to lack of sex education, people always believed that men's semen was very nutritious, but this is actually wrong.

Nutritional composition of sperm

In fact, semen is neither a high-nutrient supplement nor a panacea for female beauty treatment. The amount of semen discharged by a normal male through sexual intercourse or masturbation is 3-5 ml. Semen is grayish white, weakly alkaline, and has a special fishy smell, which is mainly the smell of prostatic fluid. Among them, seminal plasma accounts for more than 95%, and sperm accounts for less than 1%. Every cubic centimeter of testicular tissue can produce 2 million sperm every day, which means that every male testicle can produce tens to hundreds of millions of sperm every day. Even if these sperm are not excreted from the body, they will age, die, and finally be digested by enzymes.

Seminal plasma is a mixture of secretions from the supporting cells of the seminiferous tubules, epididymis, prostate, seminal vesicle, bulbourethral glands and paraurethral glands. The secretions from the seminal vesicle and prostate account for about 65% and 30% of the total volume respectively. Seminal plasma mainly provides the matrix for transporting and nourishing sperm, and stimulates the activity of sperm.

Semen is composed of sperm and seminal plasma. The main component of seminal plasma is water, accounting for more than 90%. Other components include fat, protein particles, pigment particles, phospholipid bodies, amines, free amino acids, inorganic salts, enzymes, and sugars. These components are similar to those of plasma, but they are different in source, form, and function. In terms of function, semen is not a nutrient, but a necessity for reproduction.
