Pictures of thorns on the penis

When it comes to men's penis, the necessity is obvious. Some men have noticed that there are some thorns on the glans of their penis, and they must be very concerned about the cause. So, what is the reason for the thorns on the glans of the penis?

The presence of thorns on the glans penis may be a symptom caused by condyloma acuminatum, such as some problems caused by viral infection. Generally, a white vinegar test can be done to clarify it. For this type of symptom, it is usually treated with antiviral drugs.

Clinical symptoms of condyloma acuminatum in men

The disease often has no active symptoms, but some patients may experience local pain or itching. The basic damage is initially tiny dark red bumps of varying sizes, distributed singly or in clusters, moist and soft, nipple-like, cockscomb-shaped or cauliflower-shaped protrusions, bright red or dark gray, with pedicles at the roots, and prone to producing erosive exudate, which is easy to bleed when touched. Purulent secretions often accumulate in the gaps between skin lesions, causing a foul odor, and secondary infections are often caused by scratching. Due to continuous exposure to local moisture and chronic irritation, it usually grows rapidly. The disease often has no active symptoms, but some patients may experience local pain or itching. Sometimes it can turn into squamous cell carcinoma.

The disease often occurs in the coronal sulcus, glans penis, prepuce is too long, frenulum, urethral opening, inside the urethral opening, male genital body and root, perineum, anal opening and inside the anus (duodenum), groin, etc.

The risk period of male condyloma acuminatum is 3 weeks to 8 months, with an average of 3 months. It is common in sexually active young and middle-aged men, with the peak age of onset being 20 to 25 years old. Male patients with a current history of 3 to 5 months will develop the disease soon after sexual intercourse, while male patients with an average current history of 12 months will not develop the disease during sexual intercourse. Subclinical infection refers to changes that cannot be seen by the human eye in clinical medicine, but 3% to 5% acetic acid solution can be applied externally or on the face for 5 to 10 minutes to see the HPV-infected area turn white, which is the so-called "acetic acid whitening phenomenon".

Confirmed

1. Typical skin lesions are papules in damp and cold areas such as the sexual organs or around the anus, as well as papillary, cauliflower-like growths or cockscomb-shaped fleshy growths with a rough, keratinized surface.

2. The acetic acid white test is positive, and the face detection can be seen as a disordered pattern, with bright red to dark brown in the middle and the surrounding color gradually fading.

3. Nucleic acid hybridization can detect HPV-DNA related coding sequences, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing can thus show specific HPV-DNA increased bands.

4. Tissue organic chemistry examination: Take a small amount of lesion tissue for acid-fast staining, and use specific antigens against human papillomavirus infection for staining. If there are viral antigens in the lesions, the antigens and antibodies will fuse. In the lactate dehydrogenase anti-lactate dehydrogenase (PAP) method, the nucleus can be stained bright red. This method has good specificity and is relatively fast, which is helpful for diagnosis.

5. Most patients have a history of unclean sex or a history of infection in their immediate family. Very few cases of condyloma acuminatum are infected by contact with contaminated supplies, and newborns can also be infected through the birth canal. The risk period varies from 1 to 8 months, with an average of 3 months.

6. HPV virus does not dissolve blood, but it can be tested for serum antibodies in the blood to obtain information about the virus infection. According to the excellent hepatitis B detection system, blood cells can be quickly tested for three items, namely virus antibodies, virus type, and virus quantity.
