Is moxibustion effective in treating men's diseases?

Not only do they have to face the pressure of buying a house, but also the pressure of buying a car. Moreover, many women's families need huge amounts of dowry. Under huge pressure, men are prone to health problems, such as men's diseases. So, is moxibustion useful in treating men's diseases?

1. Varicocordiitis

For the same varico-orchitis and the same patient, the location of the reaction point may move due to different onset times.

When there is tenderness in the back, there can also be tenderness in the chest at a similar height, with the same good effect. Due to insufficient attention to this aspect and too few examples, we need to continue to verify it.

Case 1: Wei Mouming, male, adult. Right lateral spermatic cord and testicular inflammation, testicle swollen like an egg, shiny and flushed, with lower abdominal distension and pain, no fever, antibiotics were used but ineffective, so he sought help from acupuncture, left and right heart points were painful (++), then fumigated left and right, two streams of heat flowed down to the vicinity of the kidney points, then forward through the abdominal cavity and reached the lower abdomen, joined the left and right, and entered the right testicle. The testicle softened and shrank immediately, and gradually swelled to its original state after 8 hours, and shrank again after further moxibustion. Moxibustion was performed twice a day, for a total of 7 times, and all swelling disappeared.

Five months later, right varico-orchitis recurred, with left and right precordial tenderness (±), and body column tenderness (+10). First, moxibustion was applied to the left and right heart points. After a long period of moxibustion, the moxibustion sensation did not occur. Then, moxibustion was applied to the body column. The heat flow quickly passed down along the middle of the spine, across the lower abdomen and into the right testicle. The symptoms were immediately relieved. Inadvertently, tenderness was found in the chest. After palpation, it was confirmed that the tenderness was at the Huagai point. After the body column reaction was completed, the Huagai point was fumigated again. The sensation went straight down along the Ren channel to the scrotum, completing a reaction process. This was repeated 5 times, and the symptoms disappeared.

Case 2: Yao, male, adult. Left-sided spermatic cord testitis. The first time, he fumigated and moxibustioned the right middle injection. The moxibustion sensation first went down vertically about an inch, then moved obliquely to the left side of the testicle and entered the left testis. The testis had an ant-like sensation and was slightly soft. The second time, he fumigated and moxibustioned the left middle injection. The moxibustion sensation went vertically into the left testis, and the reaction was more vivid. The third time, he moxibustioned the left and right middle injections at the same time. The left side was still vertically downward, and the right side was obliquely merged into the moxibustion sensation on the left side, and at the same time went down to the testis. After that, he only took the affected side, a total of 5 times, and the symptoms disappeared and did not return.

2. Urinary incontinence and obstruction

For urinary incontinence and urinary obstruction, Yaoyangguan and Weizhong points can be selected.

Case 1: Zhong Mouyuan, male, adult. He suffered from sprained back pain. Soon after being cured by massage, he developed urinary incontinence, which was more likely to occur when he was emotionally excited. He was instructed to fumigate and moxibustion the Weizhong point by himself. After 3-4 times, the heat flow passed through the back of the thigh and concentrated in the lower abdomen after passing the buttocks. He moxibustioned himself once before going to bed every night. After one and a half months, he could control his urination by himself and stopped moxibustion.

Case 2: Dong Mouxun, male, adult. Repeated episodes of urinary retention. No obvious lesions in the prostate and urinary system. The episodes can last for many days. He can only urinate once a day. He puts his head against the wall and urinates. He has pressure pain in the waist and yang joint (ten). He was fumigated and moxibustioned. The moxibustion sensation went straight through the lower abdomen. The moxibustion site was very itchy. He stopped moxibustion after the itching stopped. After two times, his urination was smoother than before. He urinated twice a day afterwards. After half a month, his urination returned to normal. He did not have an episode for half a year.

3. Scrotal eczema

Scrotal eczema often causes tenderness on both sides of the thoracic spine and near the lumbar spine.

Case 1: Tian, ​​male, adult. Scrotal eczema, rupture and erosion, tenderness and pain on Lingtai and both sides (ten), fumigation and moxibustion on Linghe, moxibustion sensation from spine down to anus and to front yin. Scrotal itching and fever, after the reaction stopped, moxibustion on Yinjiao was changed for comparison, and the sensation was the same. Later, moxibustion was applied to both front and back, twice a day, and dried and scabbed after 3 days.

Example 2: Li Rong, male, 60 years old, had scrotal eczema for more than 3 months. Tenderness in the right upper sacral region (X), moxibustion, moxibustion sensation spread to the scrotum in sheets, the whole scrotum became hot, itching stopped, and he felt comfortable. After about 8 hours, it was the same again. Please note that the effect will be prolonged as the number of moxibustion treatments increases. Twice a day, cured in 10 days.

Scrotal eczema can be treated with direct blowing and moxibustion, which can immediately stop itching, dry the area, and form scabs, with significant effects.

Case 3: Du Mouliang, male, 18 years old. His scrotum was cracked and eroded, and he was in unbearable pain and itching. He was moxibustioned directly on his scrotum, and the pain and itching increased at first. He was told to endure it, and then the exudate increased, and the pain and itching gradually stopped. After about 20 minutes, the exudate dried up and a dry scab appeared. After a few days, the scab fell off and he was cured in one go.
