Prostatitis is a common disease among men and also a disease with a high incidence rate. When suffering from prostatitis, patients will have different symptoms depending on the severity of the disease. Mild prostatitis has no obvious symptoms. In general, patients with prostatitis will feel difficulty urinating, pain in the thigh root area, and sexual function will also be affected. What causes prostatitis? 1. Prostate congestion: Congestion caused by various reasons, especially passive congestion, is an important pathogenic factor of prostatitis. (1) Abnormal sexual life: excessive sexual activity and forced interruption of sexual intercourse. (2) Compression of the perineum: riding a bicycle, riding a horse, or sitting for long periods of time. (3) Unhealthy lifestyle: excessive drinking and excessive consumption of greasy food. (4) Excessive massage (5) Colds and chills 2. Urine irritation: Urine contains a variety of acidic and alkaline chemicals. When local neuroendocrine disorders cause excessive urethral pressure and damage to the opening of the prostate duct, uric acid and other irritating chemicals will reflux into the prostate and induce prostatitis. 3. Infection by pathogenic microorganisms: Various microorganisms such as bacteria, protozoa, and viruses can be sources of infection that cause prostatitis, among which bacteria are the most common, such as gonococci and non-gonococci. 4. Immune factors, allergies: Studies have shown that prostatitis is related to autoimmune factors. Congenital or acquired immune deficiencies produce anti-prostate antibodies, which in turn lead to prostate tissue damage. Symptoms of prostatitis The symptoms of prostatitis vary in severity. Mild cases may have no obvious symptoms, while severe cases may cause general discomfort. Typical symptoms of prostatitis include discomfort during urination, swelling of the posterior urethra, perineum and anus, radiating pain in the genitals, lower abdomen and thigh roots, sexual dysfunction, neurasthenia, etc. 1. Urinary discomfort: Patients may experience bladder irritation, such as frequent urination, burning sensation in the urethra during urination, and pain radiating to the glans penis. In the early morning, there may be mucus and other secretions at the urethra, and difficulty urinating. 2. Local symptoms: Distension and discomfort in the posterior urethra, perineum and anus, which is aggravated by squatting, defecation and sitting for a long time. 3. Radiating pain: The pain of chronic prostatitis is not limited to the urethra and perineum, but also occurs in the penis, spermatic cord, testicles and scrotum, lower abdomen, and thigh roots. 4. Sexual dysfunction: Chronic prostatitis can cause loss of libido, painful ejaculation, premature ejaculation, and affect the quality of semen. White discharge from the urethra may occur after urination or defecation, and hematospermia may occur when combined with seminal vesiculitis. 5. Other symptoms: Chronic prostatitis may be combined with neurasthenia, manifested by fatigue, dizziness, insomnia, etc.; long-term persistent prostatitis may even cause allergic reactions in the body, resulting in conjunctivitis, arthritis and other lesions. |
