Prostate disease is a common disease among men. The most familiar prostate disease is prostatitis. In fact, prostate calcification is also a common prostate disease. Many men are troubled by this disease. When suffering from prostate calcification, the patient does not have obvious symptoms. It will only be detected during some prostate-related examinations. Causes of enlarged and calcified prostate 1. Prostate calcification is usually caused by chronic inflammation and infection, and is prone to recurrent prostatitis. The prostatic fluid secreted by the prostate is a component of semen, which directly affects fertility. It is usually accompanied by pain in the lower abdomen, perineum, hips, etc. 2. Prostate calcification is caused by previous prostatitis, which leaves calcified spots after recovery. Prostate calcification means that there was inflammation in the past, but it has now stopped. Bacteria can grow on prostate calcification (fibrosis) and stones, so it is another reason for recurring prostatitis and should not be ignored. Symptoms of slightly enlarged and calcified prostate 1) In the early stage, prostate hyperplasia stimulates and compresses the posterior urethra and bladder neck, causing frequent urination and urgency (if the patient is treated at this stage, the effect is excellent). 2) There is an urgency to urinate, but the urine cannot be discharged quickly; the urination is not as smooth as before, the time is long, there is a feeling of incomplete urination, and urination is difficult. 3) Urinary incontinence, especially incontinence during sleep. 4) The blood vessels on the mucosal surface dilate or even rupture, causing bleeding, which manifests as hematuria. Treatment 1. Antibiotic treatment It is currently the basic and commonly used method for the treatment of prostate calcification. However, the treatment effect of chronic prostatitis is not satisfactory. The reasons are: ① Drug resistance of bacteria, pathogens, and microorganisms. ② It is difficult for drugs to reach effective therapeutic concentrations in the alveoli. ③ Large doses and over-time use of drugs not only cannot cure prostatitis, but may also cause abnormal liver and kidney function. 2. Glandular injection therapy This treatment method is a supplement to antibiotics in the treatment of prostate hyperplasia and calcification. However, many years of clinical practice have found that this treatment method has insurmountable drawbacks. 3. Physical therapy With the help of various physical factors such as electricity, heat, light, sound, and water, it acts on the prostate gland, improves local blood circulation, and helps to dissipate inflammation, but it cannot fundamentally kill bacteria, pathogens, and disease-causing microorganisms. Clinically, it is only used as an auxiliary treatment. |
