Early symptoms of liver disease in men

Most of the diseases occur in men because they often smoke and drink and do not pay attention to controlling their diet, which are the main factors leading to liver disease. Therefore, patients must pay attention to it. In the early stage, it will cause indigestion and discomfort in the liver area. As the disease worsens, systemic symptoms will appear, and severe cases will lead to ascites.

1. Digestive tract manifestations: This is the most common symptom of liver disease, and most liver diseases will have symptoms, such as nausea, aversion to greasy food, poor appetite, general fatigue, etc., and may also cause vomiting, diarrhea, and spleen enlargement.

2. Discomfort in the liver area: Among all the symptoms of liver disease, discomfort and pain in the liver area are more specific. When such symptoms occur, we first suspect that they are caused by liver disease, and external trauma factors should be ruled out.

3. Systemic manifestations: Weakness and fatigue are the most common systemic manifestations. Some patients with liver disease may have varying degrees of jaundice, which manifests as yellow urine, yellow eyes and yellow skin. It is the most specific symptom of liver disease (except for physiological jaundice in children). When the jaundice is too high, itchy skin will occur.

5. Ascites: Ascites usually occurs in the late stage of liver disease or when the condition is extremely serious. If ascites occurs in cirrhosis, it means that the patient has entered the late stage of cirrhosis.

6. Bleeding tendency: Bleeding in liver disease is caused by decreased liver function, which leads to reduced synthesis of coagulation factors. It is easy to cause gum bleeding, hemorrhoid bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding, etc. in patients with liver disease, and the bleeding is difficult to stop.

8. Hepatic encephalopathy: This is a manifestation of liver disease in the terminal stage. The symptoms are extremely severe and it is the main cause of death from liver disease.
