If the testicles are only severely painful and swollen due to external impact, after the surgical repair, you should follow the doctor's instructions. For good postoperative care, attention should be paid to local hygiene and dryness. Usually, local disinfection is required every day. The doctor will ask the patient to take antiviral and anti-inflammatory drugs, cephalosporin and amoxicillin, to prevent swelling and infection. Generally, after the repair operation, the swelling can be basically eliminated in about 7 to 10 days. If the swelling is more severe, ice compress can be used within 48 hours to help reduce the swelling.
