Why does sperm turn into water?

Why does sperm turn into water?

Sperm is a kind of reproductive cell produced by male reproductive organs, and is a necessary substance for reproduction. Therefore, men are very concerned about sperm problems, because once there is a problem with sperm, it will affect male fertility. Male sperm will turn into transparent water after a while after being ejaculated. Let's take a look at why sperm turns into water?

1. Men's semen must turn into water, which is called semen liquefaction. If semen does not liquefy, conception will not occur. Liquefaction of semen is conducive to sperm swimming and conception. After the semen is discharged from the body, the viscosity decreases after a few minutes, which means it becomes water, so that the sperm will not be stuck. If it is still viscous, it will lead to infertility. In the treatment of infertility, sperm viscosity is an important indicator for examination.

2. Normal semen is a very viscous grayish white liquid when it is just ejaculated, and then it turns into a jelly-like clot. After 5-20 minutes, it completely liquefies and becomes a liquid of different viscosities. This process from solidification to liquefaction is a normal natural phenomenon. Normal semen is viscous, milky white, and contains grayish white clots. After about 10-20 minutes, the clots liquefy themselves and become translucent, turbid, thin mucus. The quality of semen cannot be judged by the naked eye. It is recommended to go to the hospital for a semen analysis to clarify the specific situation. If there is a problem, timely targeted treatment is recommended.

3. Normal sperm will liquefy on its own within 30 minutes (37°C) after being separated from the body. If semen does not liquefy after more than 60 minutes, it should be considered abnormal.

Suggestions: The jelly-like small crystals will generally gradually disappear in about 30 minutes. This process is called semen liquefaction. If the jelly-like crystals still exist in large quantities after 30 minutes and the semen has not become thinner, it is called semen non-liquefaction or poor liquefaction.

The above is the explanation of why sperm turns into water. I hope everyone can understand that sperm is very important to men. I hope men will protect their reproductive organs.
