The scientific name of hydrotestis is hydrocele of the tunica vaginalis. It is a common clinical disease. Hydrocele caused by scrotal trauma, inflammation or tumor of the testicle and epididymis, and filariasis is called secondary hydrocele. It often has the symptoms of the primary lesion.

Chronic hydrocele has a negative impact on the blood supply and temperature regulation of the testicles due to its high tension. In severe cases, it may cause testicular atrophy. If the hydrocele is severe, it will affect both testicles and may affect the child's future fertility.
