What are white spots at the base of the penis?

For male compatriots, it goes without saying what the penis means. In addition to its excretion function, it is also related to the continuation of the next generation and the happiness of the family. Therefore, all changes in the penis are worthy of attention. Even white spots that do not hurt or itch should not be taken lightly. Although it may be just a skin infection, such a white spot in this special part is really worrying. So let's talk about what white spots at the base of the penis are?

Leukoplakia of the penis is a kind of excessive lesion, which may cause cancer. Therefore, some people regard leukoplakia tissue as precancerous tissue to raise vigilance, which is of great significance in clinical practice. The leukoplakia on the penis is mostly located in the foreskin of the glans penis, mainly scattered spots, but some also invade the entire foreskin and glans penis. It is bluish-white on the skin surface, one part is hypertrophic and hardened, and the other part is leathery and stiff. If the entire foreskin is invaded, it will completely lose its elasticity. If leukoplakia is accompanied by penile atrophy, the skin of the penis will be progressively atrophied and hardened, and the mucosa will also become dry and hardened, with a shiny appearance accompanied by leukoplakia changes. In the early stage, it will be scattered white papule-like changes, and then spread to the entire glans penis.

In the case of dry sclerosing glansitis, white spots gradually form in the red lesion area at the beginning, the skin atrophies, the white spots become dense and hardened. If the disease progresses and affects the glans, foreskin and urethra, it is easy to become malignant. Some people have scattered papules and spots on the smooth epidermis in sclerosing atrophic lichenoid lesions, and white spots appear on the repeatedly thickened skin, which is also easy to become cancerous.

Vitiligo is similar to many diseases, including: vitiligo, albinism, pityriasis versicolor, white pityriasis, etc. You can observe carefully whether the surface of the white spot is smooth and has no dandruff, is not painful or itchy, and is pale white or milky white. If the border is blurred or spreads towards normal skin, it may be vitiligo. It is recommended that you go to a professional medical institute for treatment and examination.
