The difference between a boy's beard and a beard

The hair on different parts of our body is actually different. For example, the hair on the face is softer and lighter in color, but the hair under the armpits or beard is darker and harder. Especially the beard of boys, because of the stimulation of male hormones, it will be harder and can be easily distinguished from the down hair on the face. In fact, the beard on the boy's face is transformed from down hair.

Beard, commonly known as beard, refers to the hair growing on the upper lip, chin, cheeks, cheeks or neck of men. Men after puberty generally grow beards. Beards grow faster than hair, which is the result of the action of male hormones.

Beards are a manifestation of male secondary sexual characteristics. The appearance of secondary sexual characteristics is stimulated by the testosterone secreted by the testicles after a man enters puberty. Before puberty, boys have very little testosterone in their bodies, and the physical characteristics of boys and girls are not very different. There is no strict time limit for boys' puberty development.

Beards grow very fast. A healthy man's beard grows 0.4 mm per day, which is faster than hair (0.2-0.3 mm per day). This is because the blood vessels in the beard area are more than those in the hair roots, and nutrients are easier to obtain. The average adult has about 25,000 beards, and the difference is quite large depending on the individual. Men start to grow beards in their teens, and the beards are the most luxuriant around the age of 30. After the age of 30, they will gradually decrease, so the more you shave your beard, the more it will grow.

The level of testosterone in healthy men is generally the same, but the size of beards varies greatly. Some men have thick beards, some have thin beards; some have sideburns, some have goatees, and these are all normal differences. The size and shape of beards are related to ethnicity and family genetics. This is normal and there is no need to worry about it.

Some young people do not shave with a razor, but have the habit of plucking their beards with their fingers or pliers, thinking that this can pull out the beards completely by the roots. In fact, this is very harmful. When some male patients with lip folliculitis, rashes, and cellulitis tell their doctors about their medical history, they almost all have the bad habit of plucking their beards.
