Why do men urinate frequently?

Frequent urination is quite common in daily life. There are many reasons for frequent urination. For example, drinking too much water may cause such symptoms. However, most of the frequent urination is caused by diseases. For men, it is more likely to have symptoms of frequent urination, especially middle-aged and elderly people are prone to prostate problems, causing chronic prostatitis, prostate hypertrophy, prostate hyperplasia and other problems. At this time, it is easy to lead to symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and waiting to urinate. In addition, inflammation of the urinary system is also an important cause of frequent urination. When a urethral infection occurs, such problems will also occur due to the stimulation of inflammation. Of course, the cause of the disease and the symptoms of frequent urination cannot be ignored.

1. Chronic prostatitis

Symptoms: lower abdominal distension, frequent urination, white droplets after urination, incomplete urination, frequent urination, hematuria, thin urine stream, dysuria, etc.

Hazards: It can cause complications such as urethritis, seminal vesiculitis and epididymitis. In addition to impotence, some chronic patients often develop uremia after urinary tract obstruction due to pathological changes such as prostate sclerosis and bladder neck sclerosis. The secretory dysfunction associated with chronic prostatitis has an adverse effect on sperm production and can cause reduced fertility.

2. Prostatic hyperplasia

Symptoms: Prostatic hyperplasia (hypertrophy) is a common clinical disease, which is more common in middle-aged and elderly men. In middle age, the secretory function of the prostate continues to decline, causing prostatic hyperplasia (hypertrophy), compressing the posterior urethra, causing a series of problems such as frequent urination at night, urgency, dribbling of urine, and decreased sexual function.

Hazards: Blockage of the urinary tract, causing difficulty in urination. When the prostate continues to grow, it compresses the posterior urethra, causing urinary retention and uremia.

3. Urethritis

Symptoms: frequent urination, urgent urination, painful urination, white discharge, redness and swelling, urethral stinging, urethral burning, hematuria, and dysuria.

Hazards: Urethritis is a common disease in modern men. After the pathogens invade the urethral mucosa, they continue to multiply and destroy the adjacent normal tissue structures, causing prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, epididymitis, and orchitis.

4. Foreskin is too long, phimosis

Symptoms: If the foreskin covers the entire glans penis and urethral opening, but can be turned up and slid down without becoming incarcerated, it is called prepuce. If the foreskin opening is narrow or the foreskin is adhered to the glans penis, so that the foreskin cannot be turned up to expose the glans penis, it is called phimosis.

Hazards: Affects the development of external genitalia and easily causes local infection, especially bacterial or viral infection, which can cause chronic inflammation to persist.
