However, there is indeed a small number of complicated prostatitis caused by pathogenic microorganisms such as gonococci, mycoplasma, and chlamydia. This part of prostatitis belongs to the category of sexually transmitted diseases and theoretically can be transmitted to women through sexual intercourse.
