Symptoms and medications for epididymitis, Chinese medicine has good effects in treatment

I believe that everyone is relatively unfamiliar with the symptoms of epididymitis. Epididymitis is more common in young and middle-aged people, and can be mainly divided into chronic and acute epididymitis. The onset of this disease is relatively sudden, the white blood cell count will increase, and the patients will feel a sense of heaviness, etc.

1. Clinical manifestations of acute epididymitis:

The disease occurs suddenly, with high fever, elevated white blood cell count, swelling and pain in the affected scrotum, a feeling of heaviness, pulling pain in the lower abdomen and groin, which worsens when standing or walking. The affected epididymis is enlarged and there is obvious tenderness. When the inflammation is extensive, both the epididymis and testicle are swollen, and the boundary between the two is unclear. 2. Clinical manifestations of chronic epididymitis:

Chronic epididymitis is more common. Some patients become chronic because the acute phase is not completely cured, but most patients do not have a clear acute phase. The inflammation is often secondary to chronic prostatitis or injury. Patients often feel dull pain and bloating in the scrotum on the affected side. The pain often extends to the lower abdomen and the ipsilateral inguinal cleft. Sometimes there may be secondary hydrocele. During examination, the epididymis often has varying degrees of enlargement and hardening, with mild tenderness, and the ipsilateral vas deferens may be thickened. Treatment with Chinese medicine:

1. Dabuyin Pills

15g each of Phellodendron chinense and Rehmannia glutinosa, 12g each of Anemarrhena asphodeloides and Turtle Plate, 1 spoon of pig spinal cord (steamed and taken), 30g of Yinhua, 20g of Litchi kernel. Decoction in water, 1 dose per day, 10 days as a course of treatment. Functions: nourishing yin and clearing heat, activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, regulating qi and relieving pain. According to reports, this prescription has been used to treat 10 cases of acute epididymitis, 7 cases of chronic epididymitis, and 1 case of hydrocele caused by chronic epididymitis, all of which have achieved satisfactory results.

6g each of Bupleurum, Wuyao, and Qingpi, 9g each of Citrus aurantium and Aconite, 12g each of Sargassum, Fritillaria dahurica, and Sinapis alba. Decoction in water, 1 dose per day. Mainly used for epididymitis. Some people have used this prescription to treat many cases of epididymitis, all with good results. Generally, 7 to 10 doses of the medicine will cure the disease.

4. Ginger external application

An appropriate amount of old ginger. Take a piece of fat old ginger, wash it with clean water, cut it into uniform thin slices about 0.2cm thick, apply 6 to 10 slices to the affected side of the testis each time, cover it with gauze, cover the scrotum, and change it 1 to 2 times a day until it is healed. No antibiotics are used during the treatment. If the pain is unbearable, use analgesics appropriately. It can eliminate swelling and disperse nodules, and is mainly used to treat acute epididymitis. Clinical reports show that a total of 28 cases were treated with this prescription. 14 cases were cured after 3 days of application (self-perceived symptoms disappeared, negative pain disappeared, and epididymal swelling disappeared), 10 cases were cured on the 4th day, and another 4 cases were cured 5 days after application.
