What causes scrotal moisture?

Scrotal dampness can also have adverse effects on male reproductive health, so men need to pay attention to regulation. If there are some prostatitis or other reproductive diseases, they must pay attention to correct treatment.

1. Scrotal dampness refers to abnormal sensations such as sweating, dampness or cooling without any changes on the surface of the scrotal skin. Scrotal dampness is one of the typical symptoms of chronic prostatitis, and is also related to long-term sitting, working in a hot environment, and varicocele. If you are a patient with prostatitis, scrotal dampness is related to prostatitis. If you do not have prostatitis, you need to check and understand whether there are other reasons. If you are treating prostatitis, you don’t have to worry, because scrotal dampness is caused by autonomic nervous dysfunction caused by prostatitis. As prostatitis improves and heals, scrotal dampness will appear intermittently until it disappears. However, if prostatitis is not treated properly or thoroughly, scrotal dampness will not disappear.

2. Scrotal dampness is not necessarily pathological, so if there is no other discomfort, just pay attention to local cleaning and drying. Usually pay attention to a light diet, eat less raw and cold food, and eat less spicy and fishy food. However, general scrotal dampness may be related to prostate disease. It is recommended that you actively do a prostate examination to determine the specific condition and pay attention to symptomatic treatment. Scrotal dampness is a damp heat bet in traditional Chinese medicine.

3. Scrotal eczema is characterized by the scrotal area being always damp and slightly itchy. According to the development process of the disease, it can be divided into three stages: acute, subacute, and chronic. In acute attacks, the symptoms are mostly redness, itching, and papules on the scrotal skin. When the itching is severe, the smooth red skin can be exposed. In subacute attacks, the symptoms are severe itching of the scrotum, loss of appetite, loose stools, yellow urine, and sometimes blisters and mild erosion. During chronic attacks, itching occurs intermittently. Itching worsens when one is nervous, drinks alcohol, or eats spicy food. The scrotal skin feels hard and the skin surface is dark red or purple-brown. This disease is a skin disease and also a male disease. People who are obese and have localized excessive sweating are more likely to suffer from this disease, and most of the patients are middle-aged and elderly males.
