Poor sperm quality will directly affect male fertility. Poor sperm quality can manifest in different aspects, such as sperm failure to liquefy, abnormal sperm color, and low sperm survival rate. If these phenomena occur, treatment must be emphasized.

1. No liquefaction

Normal male semen is liquid. After being discharged, it will quickly turn into a viscous, gelatinous semi-fluid, and then turn into liquid after 5-30 minutes. If it still does not liquefy after 30 minutes, it is an abnormal phenomenon, which may be due to low sperm survival rate.

2. Abnormal color

A man's low sperm survival rate can be judged by its color. The normal color is grayish white. If he does not ejaculate for a long time, it will appear light blue, and the color of the sperm survival rate may be even lighter.

3. Low sperm survival rate

The amount of semen is also a major manifestation of low sperm survival rate. A normal male ejaculates 2-5ml each time. If it is less than 1ml, it is abnormal. If it is 0.5ml each time, it is asthenospermia, and no sperm is present, it is azoospermia. Azoospermia and reduced sperm count are one of the manifestations of male infertility.

4. Abnormal acidity and alkalinity

If you don’t know whether your sperm survival rate is low, you can test the pH. Normally, it is weakly alkaline, with a pH between 7.7 and 8.5. Semen that is too acidic or too alkaline may affect sperm activity and metabolism, which are all causes of sperm death.
