What is epididymitis

Patients will have nodules

Therefore, epididymitis is often secondary to urethritis, prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, etc. Usually, patients with epididymitis will have nodules, which mostly occur in the head or tail of the epididymis, mostly in the tail. After the epididymis is infected, nodules are often left in the tail or head.

Scrotal swelling and pain

Usually manifested as increased fever cells, swelling and pain in the affected scrotum, a feeling of heaviness, and obvious pain in the lower abdomen and groin. The condition is aggravated when standing or walking. The affected epididymis is enlarged and there is obvious tenderness. The inflammation is relatively large, with obvious swelling of the epididymis and testicles, and the boundary between the two is unclear. This is called epididymal orchitis. The spermatic cord on the affected side is significantly thickened and there is also tenderness.

Different categories

Epididymitis is clinically divided into two categories: chronic epididymitis and acute epididymitis. Symptoms of chronic epididymitis:

Chronic epididymitis is more common. Some patients develop chronic epididymitis because acute epididymitis cannot be completely cured, but most patients do not have a clear acute phase. Chronic epididymitis often occurs in chronic prostatitis or prostate damage.
