The treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis is a relatively long process, but the relief of dry cough is relatively simple and can be treated by the following kinds of fruits.

1. Pear

1: Chinese medicine believes that pears are sweet, slightly sour, and cool in nature. They mainly belong to the lung and stomach meridians, and have the effects of moistening the lungs and clearing heat, eliminating phlegm and reducing fire, clearing the stomach and purging heat, nourishing yin and promoting fluid, nourishing the kidneys and replenishing deficiency, and moistening the intestines and facilitating bowel movements. It has a unique and obvious effect in treating coughs and expectoration caused by pulmonary tuberculosis. The famous "pear paste candy" is a cough medicine made with sweet pears as the main raw material. There are many prescriptions for using pears in Chinese medicine to treat coughs, and here are just one or two. Mash an appropriate amount of fresh pears, boil them to remove the residue, add rock sugar to make a paste, and take 1 spoon of warm water each time, twice a day, for 3 consecutive days; or take 1 large pear, 9 grams of Fritillaria (ground), 30 grams of rock sugar, peel and core the pear, add the other two ingredients, and steam them in a bowl. Take once a day in the morning and evening.

2. Oranges

It has the effects of moistening the lungs and relieving coughs, appetizing and promoting fluid, strengthening the spleen and relieving diarrhea, promoting qi and relieving numbness, and relieving liver depression. The following can be used to treat breast tuberculosis: Take 15 grams each of green tangerine leaves, green tangerine peels and tangerine seeds, boil them in water with rice wine and water as a solution. 4. Lychee

1: Chinese medicine believes that litchi is sweet, sour and warm, non-toxic, and has the effects of promoting fluid and quenching thirst, moistening the lungs and eliminating phlegm, strengthening the spleen and stomach, soothing the liver and regulating qi, and nourishing the kidney yin. Litchi can treat cervical lymph node tuberculosis. The method is: take 30 grams of dried litchi, 15 grams of kelp, 15 grams of seaweed, and 10 grams of kelp, decoct in water, 1 dose each time, 2 times a day. Chinese medicine believes that cervical lymph nodes are mostly caused by phlegm blocking the neck, and this prescription is effective.

5. Walnut

1: Chinese medicine believes that walnuts are sweet and warm in nature, moist and non-toxic, and belong to the lung, stomach, liver, kidney and other meridians. They have the functions of benefiting the lungs and relieving asthma, nourishing the stomach and helping digestion, moistening the intestines and relieving constipation, regulating the liver and blood, and nourishing the kidneys and strengthening the brain. For patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, lung and kidney yin deficiency, and internal fire, 500 grams of walnut kernels and 200 grams of fresh houttuynia cordata can be taken, mashed into a paste, and mixed with honey to make pills, each pill is 9 grams; 1 pill each time, 3 times a day, take after meals. Generally, 1 month is a course of treatment, and 4 to 6 courses are taken in succession.

6. Fig

1: Chinese medicine believes that figs are sweet and mild in nature, and are in the spleen and large intestine meridians. Its main functions are to strengthen the spleen and stop diarrhea, clear the intestines and remove heat, remove phlegm and regulate qi, benefit the lungs and promote lactation, and eliminate swelling and detoxify. It can be used to treat cervical lymphadenopathy. Method: Take 30 grams of fresh fig roots and decoct in water.

7. Pomegranate

1: Traditional Chinese medicine believes that pomegranate is sweet, sour and neutral in nature, while pomegranate peel is astringent and warm, and enters the lung and large intestine meridians. It has the functions of clearing away heat and quenching thirst, nourishing the stomach and promoting the meridians, killing insects and stopping dysentery, and promoting bile and improving eyesight. For patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, while taking anti-tuberculosis drugs, 24 grams of white pomegranate flowers, 30 grams of Prunella vulgaris, and 36 grams of Houttuynia cordata can be taken in water and decocted. One dose per day for several months has a certain auxiliary therapeutic effect on pulmonary tuberculosis.
