1. Upper limb nerve compression:

2. Cervical spondylosis:

The most common disease causing hand numbness is cervical spondylosis, which is one of the common diseases among middle-aged and elderly people. When people enter middle age, some organs tend to undergo degenerative changes. When the cervical intervertebral discs degenerate, it often leads to cervical disc herniation or articular process hyperplasia or hypertrophy. Once these herniated cervical discs or hyperplastic articular processes compress the adjacent cervical nerve roots, cervical spondylosis will occur. In addition to numbness and abnormal sensation in the fingers, cervical spondylosis is also accompanied by other symptoms, such as bone and muscle pain in the neck and shoulders, radiating pain or mobility impairment in the upper limbs, etc. Diagnosing cervical spondylosis is not difficult, just take an X-ray. There is also a simple method to check cervical spondylosis. One person holds the head on the affected side and holds the upper limb on the affected side with one hand, abducting it 90°, and pushes and pulls in opposite directions with both hands at the same time. 3. Stroke:

Another common disease that causes numbness in the hands is stroke. The book "Wei Sheng Bao Jian·Zhong Zhi Men" once said: "If a person first feels numbness in the thumb or index finger or cannot use it, he will have a stroke within three years." It is necessary to prevent it: be careful about daily life, eat in moderation, avoid sex, and be calm.
