In the urology clinic, we often see many men coming for treatment, and some of them are patients with chronic orchitis. This disease has a great impact on the quality of life of patients and must be treated effectively and in a timely manner. So the question is, what is the best medicine for chronic orchitis? treatment For patients with mild symptoms and short duration, they can wait and observe. Scrotal elevation, local hot compresses, hot water baths, physical therapy, etc. can relieve symptoms. At the same time, pay attention to avoid factors that induce and aggravate the symptoms, such as excessive sexual intercourse, long-term riding, etc. Antibiotics are the most commonly used treatment drugs, but there is no clear treatment plan at present. The effect of simply using antibiotics for chronic epididymitis may not be ideal. If there is chronic prostatitis, it must be treated at the same time. At the same time, attention should be paid to the comprehensive treatment of the prostate. For recurrent epididymitis caused by chronic prostatitis, vasectomy may be considered before treatment. If the local pain is severe, recurrent, and affects life and work, epididymectomy may be considered as the last resort to relieve symptoms. Differential diagnosis 1. Epididymal tuberculosis The symptoms are epididymal nodules and pain. Most patients have a history of urinary tuberculosis, and their vas deferens are thickened and hardened, with a beaded appearance. Epididymal nodules are mostly located at the tail, hard and irregular, and sometimes adhere to the scrotal skin, rupture and form purulent sinuses. Microscopic examination of secretions can find acid-fast bacteria. 2. Spermatocele It also manifests as nodules in the epididymis, but the nodules are mostly located in the epididymal head, with a smooth surface and no tenderness. B-ultrasound shows a cystic mass in the epididymal head. 3. Scrotal filariasis The symptoms are epididymal nodules and scrotal pain. However, the patient has a history of filarial infection, and there are often several nodules in the scrotum, mostly at the lower end of the spermatic cord and the epididymal head. Microfilariae can be found in blood samples taken at night. 4. Epididymal tumor It also presents as an epididymal mass, and sometimes scrotal swelling and pain. However, the mass is mostly located at the tail of the epididymis, with an uneven surface, unclear boundaries, and a hard texture. Surgical pathological histological examination can confirm the diagnosis. |
