Eczema and acne are both skin diseases, but many men easily confuse the two diseases because they do not understand medical knowledge. Some men even think that acne is eczema, which is obviously wrong. Today, I will introduce the difference between eczema and acne in detail.

Eczema:

Eczema is a common inflammatory skin disease of the epidermis and the superficial dermis caused by a variety of internal and external factors. It is characterized by spontaneous severe itching, polymorphic lesions, symmetrical distribution, exudative tendency, chronic course, and easy recurrence. If it feels like rashes and patches, it should be eczema.

Acne:

Acne is generally divided into the following types:

1. Nodular acne

They often occur on the cheeks and are light red or dark red in color. Some are significantly raised, forming a hemispherical or cone shape.

2. Papular acne

Papules are localized protrusions above the skin, ranging from as small as a needle to as large as a soybean, and usually have a white tip.

3. Cystic acne

It looks red and swollen, and there is pus in the pimple, but there is no white tip, and sometimes thick juice flows out.

4. Pustules

It usually develops from a papule, first turning into a pea-sized blister, and then into a pustule in about 1-2 days.

5. Nodular/cystic acne

If nodular acne is not treated in time, it will deteriorate into cysts, and the coexistence of the two will become nodular cystic acne.
