Orchitis is a common male disease, which has attracted the attention of many friends. However, they are not clear about the symptoms of orchitis, or they do not know it in detail. So today, I will explain this problem in detail. The occurrence of orchitis harms the patient's physical and mental health. Let me see how the editor introduces it. In fact, it is very important for male friends to know more about the symptoms of orchitis. 1. A history of mumps, parotid swelling, red swelling of the parotid lip, and secretion when pressed. Children with viral orchitis may sometimes have parotid swelling and pain. 2. Testicular pain may be accompanied by systemic symptoms such as fever, chills, nausea, and vomiting. Symptoms often appear 3 to 4 days after the onset of mumps. 3. The scrotum is red and swollen, the testicles are enlarged, and there is obvious tenderness, and there is radiating pain in the scrotum, thigh root, and groin area. The testicles are highly enlarged and purple-blue in color. 4. When the testicle is cut open, the testicular tubules cannot be squeezed out due to the reaction and edema of the interstitial tissue. Histological observation shows edema and vascular dilation, a large number of inflammatory cells infiltrate, and varying degrees of degeneration of the seminiferous tubules. 5. When orchitis heals, the testicles become smaller and softer. The seminiferous tubules are severely atrophied, but the interstitial cells are preserved, so the secretion of testosterone is not affected. 6. Orchitis usually occurs 3 to 4 days after the onset of mumps. The scrotum is erythematous and edematous. One or both testicles are enlarged and highly tender. Occasionally, hydrocele can be seen. Mumps lesions can usually be found. After symptomatic treatment for about 10 days, testicular swelling subsides. About 1/3 to 1/2 of the patients can be observed to have testicular atrophy 1 to 2 months after the onset of the disease. Generally, unilateral testicular involvement does not affect fertility. According to statistics, about 30% of patients with orchitis caused by mumps have irreversible damage to their sperm, and the affected testicles are highly atrophied. If bilateral infection occurs, the testicles may atrophy, causing sperm production disorders and infertility, but androgen function is generally normal. The occurrence of orchitis must be taken seriously, and the majority of male patients should not miss the best time for treatment because of their timidity. This is a very incorrect attitude. If you get the disease, you must treat it. Only by actively seeking treatment can you get rid of the troubles of the disease as soon as possible. Therefore, once orchitis is discovered, you must immediately go to a regular hospital to receive professional treatment and persist in it for a long time. |
