What are the methods for testing for orchitis?

Nowadays, male friends usually feel some pain in their testicles. At first, they are reluctant to do so and think that they can just bear it. But sometimes, this situation indicates some common male diseases, such as orchitis. If you have orchitis, how should you check it? What are the symptoms? Let's find out!

Clinical manifestations: 1. High fever and chills. 2. Testicular pain, with radiating pain in the scrotum, thigh root and groin area. 3. The affected testicles are swollen and tender. If purulent, it feels like purulent effusion when touched. 4. Often accompanied by redness and swelling of the scrotal skin and hydrocele in the scrotum. 5. Children with viral orchitis may sometimes have enlarged and painful parotid glands.

Testicular self-examination. Relax the scrotum so that you can feel for lumps and abnormalities. When examining, stand on both feet and feel for lumps or other abnormalities. Normal testicles are oval in shape, smooth in surface, and of medium hardness.

Local examination. After bilateral scrotal masses are detected, benign and malignant lesions can be roughly distinguished. After a testicular tumor is suspected, a local puncture biopsy of the testicular tumor is not suitable because it is more likely to cause tumor metastasis. The nature of the testicular tumor must be confirmed by the pathological report after surgery.

B-ultrasound examination. It can more accurately measure the size and shape of the testicles and whether there is a tumor. For patients with cryptic testes, it can understand the development of the testicles and whether they are enlarged or malignant.

Blood tests. Chest X-ray including fluoroscopy or chest radiography. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

It can more accurately understand whether there is retroperitoneal metastasis, which is especially helpful for patients who have not yet undergone cryptic testicular removal and may have already developed malignant changes.

If you are at home and do not have time to go to the hospital for a check-up, you can make some appropriate judgments based on your symptoms. If necessary, it is best to go to the hospital for a detailed examination so that you can confirm the disease and make some treatment plans. Never delay the treatment, otherwise there will be some other complications.
