Many male friends are prone to male and urological diseases due to personal hygiene and some bacterial infections. For example, some friends found that their testicular skin suddenly became hard and dry in the summer. What's going on? In fact, if this happens, it is very likely that you have scrotal inflammation. Especially in the hot summer, the scrotum is prone to inflammation due to poor air permeability. Generally speaking, there may be the following reasons: (1) It is more common in those who do manual labor, especially in the summer. The genitals are hot, sweaty, humid, and poorly ventilated. The scrotal skin is stained by sweat and rubbed by underwear, causing itching and peeling. Wearing tight jeans or non-absorbent, non-breathable nylon underwear can also cause this condition. (2) Riboflavin (vitamin B2) deficiency can lead to scrotitis. The scrotum will show changes such as erythema, dryness, scaling, papules and scabs, accompanied by itching and peeling. At the same time, angular cheilitis, glossitis and oral ulcers may also occur. (3) Scrotitis caused by fungi, such as candidal scrotitis and tinea cruris involving the scrotum, can cause scrotal itching and peeling. (4) Neurodermatitis and eczema in the scrotum can cause itching. In summary, general scrotal itching is not a sexually transmitted disease. As long as there is no history of sexual promiscuity, genital ulcers or growths, urethral discharge, etc., there is no need to worry about contracting a sexually transmitted disease. People with scrotal itching should wear loose cotton underwear and outer pants to allow ventilation of the genitals and keep the scrotum dry. Pay attention to local hygiene and wash it every day. If itching and peeling are obvious, do not scratch it or use boiling water. If there are various local injuries, go to the hospital for treatment. Scrotitis is often caused by pathological factors such as scrotal injury, urine extravasation, and diabetes. Among them, scrotal dampness is the main cause of various pathogens. Since most patients have scrotal dampness, the first step in clinical treatment of scrotitis is to treat scrotal dampness. The pathogens are often Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa (green bacillus), and Streptococcus anaerobes. Clinical manifestations (1) At first, it is a slightly raised red spot with a clear edge. It gradually expands, has scaling on it, and it itches. It gradually changes from red to purple, brown, or skin color. (2) If not treated in time, the damage will spread and expand. The center of the lesion will gradually heal itself and spread to the surrounding area. The edge of the erythema will be more inflamed, with active rashes, blisters, crusts, and even erosions on it. The center will heal itself and form a ring or semi-ring shape. Outside the scrotal folds, it will appear as scaly patches. (3) Temporary pigmentation and severe itching will remain after healing. |
