Some men often have symptoms of testicular pain. In fact, this kind of situation is mostly caused by orchitis. Orchitis cannot heal itself, so patients with testicular pain must go to the hospital for a detailed examination in time. Generally speaking, it is most appropriate to go to the men's department of a regular hospital. There are also many precautions when treating orchitis. Let me share some relevant knowledge with you below. Chinese medicine treatment (1) Damp-heat descending: fever with chills, swollen and painful testicles, hard and dark urine, dry stool, red tongue with yellow greasy coating, and stringy, slippery and rapid pulse. Treatment method: Clear away dampness and heat, detoxify and relieve swelling. Prescription: 10g each of Scutellaria baicalensis, Fructus Akebiae, Fructus Akebiae, Fructus Plantagoeia (wrapped and decocted), Rhizoma Cynomorii, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Rehmanniae, 6g of Radix Bupleuri, 12g of Radix Glycyrrhizae, 15g of Gentiana scabra, 20g each of Honeysuckle and Toosendan. (2) Qi stagnation and blood stasis: The testicles gradually swell and become hard to the touch. There is mild pain. The tongue has dark edges with ecchymosis, a thin white coating, and a stringy and slippery pulse. Treatment method: Promote Qi and blood circulation, and disperse stagnation. Prescription: 10 grams each of tangerine seed, costus root, bitter orange, Magnolia officinalis, Toosendan, peach kernel, and Corydalis yanhusuo, 15 grams each of kelp and seaweed, 6 grams of Akebia, 15 grams each of Rehmannia glutinosa, Radix Rehmanniae, Radix Yuanshen, chrysanthemum, and dandelion, and 30 grams of deer antler grass. Western medicine treatment (1) General treatment: rest in bed, apply local hot compresses, elevate the scrotum, do levator ani, and other appropriate physical exercises. (2) Antibiotics are ineffective for viral orchitis, and Chinese medicine should be used for treatment. Oral administration of fluazifop, 0.2 g each time, 3 times a day; or teligot, 0.2 g each time, 2 times a day, for 5-7 days. Intravenous penicillin 6.4 million u/day, twice a day, for 3-5 days. For those who are allergic to penicillin, intravenous cyclofloxacin lactate injection can be used, 200 mg each time for adults, once every 12 hours, for a course of 3-5 days. Gentomycin can also be injected intramuscularly, 80,000 u each time, twice a day, for a course of 3-5 days. Because orchitis is likely to be caused by bacterial or viral infection, patients with orchitis must pay special attention to hygiene to avoid aggravating the infection. In addition, orchitis is prone to recurrence, so patients need to persist in treatment for a period of time and continue to take medication after the condition improves. |
