Many young friends have small bumps on the edge of the glans due to bad behaviors or some problems in their daily lives. Regarding this phenomenon, we first consider whether it is caused by herpes or other diseases. In the following article, we will understand that there are small bumps on the edge of the glans. Small reddish papules appear around the glans penis in the coronal sulcus. It often occurs in young people and adults, and is more common in people aged 20-40. 10% of normal people will have it, and it is more common in young people with long foreskin and masturbation habits. It is a physiological abnormality and not a sexually transmitted disease. It may be related to long foreskin, more smegma, and chronic inflammatory stimulation. Generally, there are no symptoms and the warts are often found suddenly after bathing or unclean sexual intercourse. They are easily misdiagnosed as genital warts. The histopathological findings are the same as those of vulvar pseudowarts, with papillary protrusions in appearance, mild hypertrophy of the mucosal epithelium, and vacuolar appearance similar to normal mucosa in the middle and upper parts of the epithelium. The vacuoles are uniform in size and shape, with no dark staining and condensation of cell nuclei. The mucosal epithelium is wrapped in loose connective tissue, and the capillaries in the connective tissue proliferate and dilate, with a few lymphocytes infiltrating. Polymerase chain reaction tests for human papillomavirus were all negative, so it is not a sexually transmitted disease. It can be distinguished from genital warts from clinical, histopathological and human papillomavirus tests, and the diagnosis is not difficult. In terms of treatment, if the patient has foreskin that is too long, circumcision should be performed to avoid smegma irritation. 1. Causes and incidence The cause and incidence of penile pearly papules are still unclear. Some scholars believe that this disease is a kind of abnormal physiological development. Some scholars believe that it is related to prepuce. For example, Chen Xue et al. found that the incidence of penile pearly papules in young men with prepuce was significantly higher than that in those with normal prepuce. Some scholars believe that this disease may be related to HPV infection, but Ferenczy et al. and Zhang Kaijin et al. tested HPV in the lesion tissue and found no HPV. The author observed that the direct cause of this disease may be inflammatory reactions such as local redness and swelling caused by prepuce, poor local hygiene, long-term stimulation of coronal sulcus secretions and dirt, or other factors such as infection. If you are often exposed to bad behavior in your life or have a sad friend, it may cause small bumps on the edge of the glans. These small things may represent the occurrence of herpes. Of course, it is also possible that if you have an allergy, you should check according to your physical condition. |
