Congenital testicular dysgenesis

Congenital testicular dysgenesis

Nowadays, many teenagers suffer from congenital testicular dysplasia, and the number is quite large. Testicles are the organs that secrete male hormones in men, so testicles play an important role in the male body. So why do some people have congenital testicular dysplasia? Today, let's introduce to you the causes of testicular dysplasia.

Congenital dysgenesis of spermatic tubules, also known as Klinefelter syndrome, is a common genetic disease of sex chromosome aberration. The characteristics of this disease are that the patient has a testicular-like body shape, male breast development, small testicles, azoospermia, and increased gonadotropin in urine. The sex chromosomes of patients with this disease are 47,XXY, which means that there is one more X chromosome than normal men, so this disease is also called 47,XXY syndrome. The cause of congenital dysgenesis of spermatic tubules is that the sex chromosomes do not separate during the process of meiosis of the parents' reproductive cells to form sperm and eggs. During the maturation and division of the egg cell, the sex chromosomes do not separate, forming an egg containing two Xs. If this egg combines with a Y sperm, it will form a 47,XXY fertilized egg. If the XY does not separate during the first maturation and division of the spermatogenic cell, it will form an XY sperm, which can also form a 47,XXY fertilized egg when combined with an X egg. Patients with congenital dysgenesis of spermatic tubules have no abnormalities in childhood, and often develop abnormalities in adolescence or adulthood.

Tall, slender lower limbs, delicate skin, high-pitched voice, no beard, less body hair, etc. About half of the patients have enlarged breasts on both sides. The external genitalia often resembles that of normal men, but the penis is shorter than that of normal men, and the testicles on both sides are significantly smaller, mostly less than 3 cm, hard in texture, poor sexual function, and no sperm in the semen. Patients often seek treatment for infertility or sexual dysfunction. Intellectual development is normal or slightly lower. Long-term supplementation of male hormones to improve secondary sexual characteristics, but the effect is not ideal. Generally, testosterone propionate (testosterone propionate) or methyltestosterone (methyltestosterone) tablets are taken sublingually. It is more convenient to give long-acting testosterone such as testosterone enanthate or testosterone cypionate. You may also consider giving human chorionic gonadotropin at the same time. The drug can only help masculinization to a certain extent, but it cannot change female breasts. Therefore, for those with breast hypertrophy, the mammary glands and fat tissues in the breasts can be removed.

The above are some of the characteristics of congenital testicular dysgenesis introduced by professionals. Therefore, we should pay attention to this disease, but we should not be afraid, because it can be cured. In addition, patients should maintain a good attitude every day and not feel inferior in front of others, which will help the condition to improve.
