People rarely mention some sensitive issues in life, such as whether it is normal for men to have yellow sperm? Or many people do not know, and some young men are also very careless about this issue. Because some sperm color will be abnormal, it means pathological changes, which symbolizes the occurrence of certain diseases, so it is very important to know this knowledge. Next, let's talk about the knowledge about whether it is normal for men to have yellow sperm. Generally, it does not matter, as long as there is no inflammation. Because of long-term abstinence, the semen is slightly yellow, and if you ejaculate a little, it is grayish white and transparent. The color of semen is determined by the composition of semen. Semen is composed of sperm and seminal plasma. The amount of sperm only accounts for a very small part, and more than 90% is seminal plasma. Seminal plasma is secreted by accessory glands such as the prostate, seminal vesicles, bulbourethral glands, and paraurethral glands. The main component is water, as well as fat, protein particles, pigment particles, lecithin bodies, enzymes, fructose and other components. The semen of a normal person is grayish white or slightly khaki. If the abstinence period is long, the color will be yellower due to changes in physical and chemical properties. This is all normal. Abnormal semen includes: milky white or yellow-green semen, indicating inflammation in the reproductive tract, most likely a purulent infection of the prostate and seminal vesicles. Red semen indicates that the semen contains red blood cells, commonly known as "hematospermia". Hematospermia is mostly caused by seminal vesiculitis or prostatitis. This type of hematospermia caused by inflammation is mostly light red. If small blood vessels rupture due to vascular malformations, the hematospermia will be bright red and blood clots will be seen. Abnormal semen color is not terrible. Once the cause is found and the symptoms are treated, the color can return to normal. The normal semen standards stipulated by the World Health Organization can be analyzed from the following aspects to determine whether the semen is normal: (1) Semen volume: Normal ≥ 2ml. If it is greater than 7ml, it is too much. Not only will the sperm density be reduced, but it will also be easy to flow out of the vagina, resulting in a decrease in the total number of sperm. This is common in seminal vesiculitis. If it is less than 2ml, it is too little semen, but usually less than 1ml is too little. At this time, the contact area between the semen and the female reproductive tract is small, or the viscosity makes it difficult for the sperm to enter the female cervix, leading to infertility. This is common in severe paragonitis, low testosterone levels, ejaculatory duct obstruction, retrograde ejaculation, etc. (2) Color: Normal color is off-white or slightly yellow. Milky white or yellow-green indicates inflammation of the reproductive tract or accessory glands. Pink, red, or red blood cells under a microscope indicate bloody semen, which is commonly seen in inflammation of the accessory glands or posterior urethra, and occasionally in tuberculosis or tumors. (3) pH: The normal pH value of semen is 7.2-7.8. A pH value less than 7.2 is seen in ejaculatory duct obstruction or urine contamination; a pH value greater than 7.8 is seen in seminal vesiculitis or old specimens. (4) Liquefaction time: After normal semen is ejaculated, it becomes jelly-like under the action of the seminal vesicle coagulase. After 15 to 30 minutes, it becomes liquid under the action of the prostate liquefaction enzyme. This is called semen liquefaction. If semen still does not liquefy 30 minutes after ejaculation, it is abnormal. (5) Viscosity: When a glass rod is placed in contact with liquefied semen and gently lifted, a semen thread will form. Normally, its length is less than 2 cm. The above describes the medical knowledge about whether it is normal for men to have yellow sperm. I hope that this knowledge can help many men to understand it well. It can be used as a comparison for the color of sperm you encounter in your daily life, and it is also good to know the occurrence of some diseases. Otherwise, you are always careless. If you don’t know that a disease has occurred, the consequences are unimaginable. So I hope that this knowledge will be of great help to everyone. |
