Why does prostatic hyperplasia cause hydronephrosis?

Prostatic hyperplasia is a common disease in older men. With the aging of the population, the incidence of prostatic hyperplasia is also increasing. As we all know, the kidney is the most important organ in the human body. Nowadays, the incidence of hydronephrosis is also high, which will threaten people's health if not paid attention to. Many people did not expect that these two diseases would be linked together, because prostatic hyperplasia can lead to hydronephrosis.

Why does prostatic hyperplasia lead to hydronephrosis? When we want to treat this disease, we must first understand its situation and the cause of the disease, which is important for us to prevent and treat it. Through the following understanding, we will know why prostatic hyperplasia leads to hydronephrosis.

1. Obstruction caused by various diseases of the lower urinary tract makes it difficult to empty the upper urinary tract and forms hydronephrosis.

2. Obstruction caused by external lesions includes arterial and venous lesions; pelvic tumors and inflammation; gastrointestinal lesions; and retroperitoneal lesions.

3. Segmental incompetence: Due to segmental muscle deficiency, incomplete development or anatomical disorder at the junction of the ureteropelvic ureter or the upper ureter, the normal peristalsis of this section of the ureter is affected, causing dynamic obstruction. If this lesion occurs at the entrance of the ureter to the bladder, congenital megaureter is formed, resulting in dilation and hydrops of the kidney and ureter.

4. Post-inflammatory or ischemic scars lead to local fixation. Vesicoureteral reflux causes ureteral distortion, and the fibrosis around the ureter eventually leads to obstruction of the ureteropelvic junction or the ureter.

5. Neoplasms, polyps and other neoplasms of the renal pelvis and ureter, which may be primary or metastatic. Stones and trauma and scars after trauma.

The above is why prostatic hyperplasia can lead to hydronephrosis. Knowing yourself and your enemy will ensure victory in every battle. Therefore, understanding hydronephrosis can be combined with prevention and treatment. The vast majority of patients must pay more attention to their physical health in life. If you give it careful care, it will give you better rewards. Many diseases do not exist alone, so when the disease occurs, it must be actively treated and cannot be avoided by doctors.
