Andrology experts remind: the temperature of the testicles is 1℃~2℃ lower than the body temperature, that is, at around 35℃, which is most conducive to sperm production. If the bath temperature is too high, it will be a hidden "killer" that will have an adverse effect on the testicles and damage the sperm production function. Unmarried and childless young men should pay special attention to this. 1. Decreased sperm quality is related to testicular overheating Statistics show that the infertility rate in cities exceeds 10%, and in some cities it is as high as 15%. There are many reasons for infertility, among which the decline in sperm quality is an important reason. Problems such as oligospermia, asthenospermia, and azoospermia are becoming more and more prominent, and the trend of younger men is also very obvious. However, there is no good explanation for the cause of this phenomenon. However, some experts pointed out that there is no specific reason for the decline of sperm quality by 60 to 70 percent. However, we cannot ignore the impact of some small things in life on sperm, such as hot springs, saunas, and staying up late. Because both research and clinical studies have found that if the male scrotal temperature is higher than the normal scrotal temperature, it will be detrimental to sperm survival. In particular, men with idiopathic infertility or varicocele have a higher testicular temperature than fertile men. Sperm is extremely sensitive to temperature. Generally speaking, testicular temperature is 1℃~2℃ lower than body temperature, which is most conducive to sperm production. However, many men like to take baths and hot springs, and some wear tight pants as a fashion, which will cause the testicular temperature to rise above 37℃, thereby inhibiting sperm production. Scientists have conducted such an experiment to observe the changes in sperm quality of some men who love hot water baths. The results showed that those who took hot water baths 3~4 times a week with water temperatures above 40℃ had an increase in sperm head deformities and the number of immature sperm. 2. The best temperature for testicles to produce sperm is 35°C Experts point out that the testicle is the main place for sperm production, and the testicular microenvironment affects the quantity and quality of sperm production, including sperm motility, sperm survival rate, sperm immunity, etc. As we all know, the normal body temperature of the human body is 37℃, and the testicles need an optimal temperature of about 35℃ to maintain normal physiological functions. In an environment of about 35℃, the testicles can have the best sperm-producing ability. As long as the water temperature exceeds 40℃, the scrotum will not be able to bear it, which will affect the spermatogenic function of the testicles. Even if the sperm is produced, it will be weak and unable to swim, or even "die". Some patients with cryptorchidism (embryo development disorders cause the testicles to fail to descend to the scrotum normally) have poor sexual function or even no sexual function because their testicles cannot function normally in an environment with too high a temperature for a long time. Since the testicles have high requirements for temperature, the scrotum bears the responsibility of regulating the temperature of the testicles. When the temperature of the testicles is too low, the scrotal skin shrinks to prevent the loss of heat; when the testicles are overheated, the scrotal skin will relax and dissipate heat. But it must be clear that the temperature regulation function of the scrotum has a certain limit. When the temperature changes beyond its regulation range, the physiological function of the testicles will inevitably be damaged. So, be kind to your testicles. In daily life, it is recommended to wear loose pants and keep the lower body ventilated and dry, so that the testicles have a relaxed working environment, so that they can play the greatest physiological function. 3. How to treat your testicles well? 1. Sitting still for a long time is bad for the testicles. Try not to sit on a soft sofa or boss chair for a long time, as it is not good for the testicles. 2. Adolescent boys should not wear tight pants. Men of childbearing age should try not to wear tight pants. If they must wear them, it is best not to wear them for more than two hours at a time. Boys in puberty should not wear them at all. 3. Control the water temperature and time when taking a bath. The bath water temperature should be controlled at about 35℃, and the bath time should not exceed half an hour. Use hot and cold water alternating baths appropriately, or warm water showers for the penis and groin. 4. Men should not soak in hot springs too often. Men who want to have children should limit their visits to hot springs to one or two times a month. When soaking in hot springs, it is best to take a break every 10 minutes or so. 5. It is best to sleep naked. Try to choose loose cotton underwear. It is best to sleep naked so that the testicles can breathe fully, which is good for health. |
