There are jelly particles in sperm

The importance of sperm to men is self-evident. If there is a problem with sperm, it will directly affect the male's fertility. Normal semen is liquid, white or milky white, but some men find that there are jelly particles in their sperm, which is obviously different from normal sperm. So, what is the matter with jelly particles in sperm? Let's take a look at the reasons below.

Normal male semen is grayish white. If some men have not ejaculated for a long time, their sperm is light yellow. It is a common phenomenon that sperm is jelly-like particles. First of all, we should pay attention to whether the sperm particles can liquefy after a period of time. If they can liquefy, it is normal.

However, if the sperm does not liquefy after 30 minutes or 60 minutes, this is a pathological manifestation, a disease called semen insolubility. If you find this situation, don't worry too much, you can seek treatment in time. You need to do a routine prostate examination and urinary system ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis.

Reasons for semen not liquefying

1. Prostatitis

① Inflammation: It can cause the prostate to produce proteolytic enzymes, lysozymes and other semen liquefaction factors, which can cause the secretion of semen liquefaction factors to be impaired, resulting in a decrease in liquefaction factors and the formation of semen liquefaction syndrome. ② Urine irritation: Urine contains a variety of acidic and alkaline chemicals, which can easily cause uric acid to reflux into the prostate, inducing chronic prostatitis. Over time, it can also cause the prostate to secrete less liquefaction enzymes, resulting in semen liquefaction.

2. Seminal vesiculitis

The secretions of the seminal vesicles are involved in the coagulation and liquefaction of semen. The coagulation factors produced by the seminal vesicles cause semen coagulation. Once the seminal vesicles become inflamed, the secretion of the above factors may be impaired, resulting in an increase in coagulation factors and leading to semen liquefaction syndrome.

3. Infection by pathogenic microorganisms

If various pathogenic microorganisms, such as bacteria and protozoa, invade the male reproductive tract, they can easily cause a series of symptoms, one of which is semen liquefaction.

4. Lack of trace elements

Male deficiency of trace elements, such as magnesium and zinc, can also lead to symptoms of semen liquefaction.

5. Anxiety, depression, fear

Studies have found that 50% of patients with semen liquefaction have symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and excessive tension.

Treatment principles

1. Etiology treatment

For patients with chronic bacterial prostatitis, antibiotics with high fat solubility, alkalinity, broad antibacterial spectrum, and effective against mycoplasma and chlamydia should be selected. For patients with non-bacterial prostatitis, comprehensive treatment should be adopted to improve prostate function.

2. Improve microcirculation

It promotes blood flow rate and volume, improves the oxygen supply and utilization capacity of human tissue cells, provides sperm with sufficient nutrition, and thus improves sperm quality.

3. Regulate hormone levels

Those with low testosterone levels can use endocrine drugs to adjust the secretion function of the accessory glands.

4. Supplement nutrition

It promotes the synthesis of DNA in cells, delays cell failure, and improves the quality of sperm. It replenishes zinc, selenium and amino acids to improve prostate function.

5. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment

Nourishes the liver and kidneys, strengthens the waist and knees, enhances one's physical strength, and improves the quality of sex life.
