When the scrotal redness and swelling have secondary infection, pus will flow out, and then the inflammation will gradually subside, the redness and swelling will gradually disappear, the secretions will decrease, and the papules and erosions will no longer heal. However, some patients scratch their skin, which becomes significantly infiltrated and thickened to form more or less lichen-like changes, and acute eczema has transformed into chronic eczema.

This is because the skin of the scrotum is delicate and sensitive, and scrotal eczema often causes itching. The main subjective symptom of scrotal eczema is also itching, and patients often discover the disease because of scrotal itching.

As the disease progresses, the itching gradually worsens. Scratching cannot relieve the itching. In severe cases, it affects sleep and work. Patients often suffer from pain or secondary infection due to scratching and inappropriate stimulation.
