High prostate specific antigen

High prostate specific antigen

In modern society, there are many types of cancer, so everyone should effectively prevent cancer from happening to the body, because once cancer strikes, it will cause great harm to a person's health. For male friends, the chance of developing prostate cancer is relatively high. Therefore, men should also go to the hospital for regular physical examinations. So what is the high level of prostate-specific anti-inflammatory?

1. Nowadays, cancer is expected to be discovered and treated early, so that it will not pose a threat to life. A high level of prostate marker PSA indicates that prostate cancer will occur. When the prostate marker exceeds 10ng/ml, it is more serious, but in patients with prostate hyperplasia, many are between 4-10ng/ml, so differential diagnosis is required. If it continues to increase, it is recommended to do a prostate MRI within this range to see if there are any abnormal manifestations in several common parts of the prostate. In particular, pay attention to whether there are space-occupying lesions in the peripheral zone of the prostate, which is conducive to the early detection of prostate cancer. Therefore, it is necessary to be very cautious. Is it prostate hyperplasia or a hint of the possibility of cancer? It is necessary to go to a urology specialist for a detailed examination early.

2. There are three most common reasons for the increase of prostate-specific antigen, or PSA. The first is prostate cancer. In the case of prostate cancer, the patient's PSA will increase. It is generally believed that when PSA exceeds 10ng/ml, the patient's risk of prostate cancer is quite high. When it exceeds 100ng/ml, multiple metastases may have often occurred. The second situation is prostatitis. In patients with prostatitis, PSA will also increase, but after antibiotic treatment, PSA will generally decrease or even return to normal. The third situation is the increase in PSA caused by various operations, such as prostate massage, catheterization, and prostate surgery, which will cause an increase in PSA. However, one month after the operation, PSA will generally return to normal.

3. The free prostate-specific antigen index needs to be combined with the total prostate-specific antigen index to play a role in judging the possibility of prostate tumors. Analyzing the free prostate-specific antigen index alone cannot produce a reliable result or have practical clinical significance. For total prostate-specific antigen less than 4ng/ml, or more than 10ng/ml, the reference significance of free prostate-specific antigen is not great. At this time, even if the free prostate-specific antigen index is too high or too low, it cannot indicate anything. If the total prostate-specific antigen index is less than 4ng/ml, the possibility of prostate cancer is basically ruled out. If it exceeds 10ng/ml, the possibility of prostate cancer is very high. In addition, if the total PSA index is within the range of 4-10ng/ml, it is a gray area, and the free PSA needs to be referred to at this time. The smaller the ratio of the two, the greater the possibility of prostate cancer. It is generally believed that the free PSA, when the ratio of the total PSA is greater than 0.16, the possibility of malignancy is relatively small.
