There is an extra lump in the testicle

If there is an extra piece of something on the testicle, people will feel very confused. This is because there is an abnormality in their testicles. If this situation is not dealt with as soon as possible, it will cause male friends to be infertile. This is also the most typical cause of infertility. If it is not treated in time, it will cause very serious problems, and even induce diseases such as orchitis and testicular cysts.

Testicular abnormality is one of the important factors of male infertility. Once testicular abnormality is detected, it should be treated as soon as possible. Testicular abnormalities generally include congenital testicular dysgenesis, testicular agenesis, orchitis, etc. The testicles are the main male sexual organs. Their function is to produce sperm and secrete male hormones, which can stimulate sperm production and the development of male accessory organs and secondary sexual characteristics. Therefore, whether it is congenital developmental disorders or testicular diseases caused by many acquired factors, they can lead to infertility. [1]

1. Orchitis: the culprit behind male infertility

Usually caused by bacteria and viruses, patients may suffer from male infertility in addition to suffering from inflammation. Common types of orchitis include non-specific and mumps. To prevent infertility, men should pay attention to reproductive health and hygiene to prevent the occurrence of orchitis.

2. Cryptorchidism – causes male infertility

After birth, one or both testicles of a male baby fail to descend to the scrotum and remain at any point along its normal descent path. The incidence of cryptorchidism in adult men is 0.11% to 0.52%. Will cryptorchidism lead to male infertility? Studies have shown that the vast majority of cryptorchidism patients are infertile.

3. Congenital testicular dysgenesis

This disease is also called seminiferous duct dysgenesis or primary microtestis or Klinefelter syndrome. It was described by Klinefelter, Reifenstein and Albright in 1942. Its characteristics are small testicles, no sperm and increased gonadotropin in urine. In 1959, Jacobs et al. found that the sex chromosomes of patients with this disease are 47,XXY, that is, one more X chromosome than normal men, so this disease is called 47,XXY syndrome. Its fundamental defect is that men have an extra X chromosome. The common karyotype is 47,XXY or 46,XY/47,XXY.

4. No testis

Whether it is congenital developmental disorders or testicular diseases caused by many acquired factors, it can lead to male infertility. If atesticular disease is not treated in time, infertility may become a lifelong regret for men.
