Itching of the epidermis above the testicle

Itching of the epidermis above the testicle

Symptoms of itching on the testicular epidermis are relatively common, and more treatment should be done after it occurs. Some patients will not only feel itching in their testicular area, but may also feel redness and swelling. Especially at night when sleeping, the itching symptoms will become more severe, and even scratching will not improve, which will affect the quality of your daily sleep and cause insomnia.

1. The main symptom of acute scrotal eczema is itching. Patients often discover the disease because of itching in the scrotum. As the disease progresses, the itching gradually worsens. Scratching cannot relieve the itching. In severe cases, it affects sleep and work. 2. Chronic scrotal eczema is caused by long-term unhealed acute and subacute eczema and repeated attacks.

Due to long-term and constant scratching, the skin of the scrotum becomes dry and thickened, with deep wrinkles and walnut-like skin. There are often thin scabs and scales, and the skin pigmentation deepens; there are also cases where the pigmentation is reduced due to scratching. There is often severe itching and insomnia. Due to the difficulty in treatment and repeated failure to heal, the scrotal skin may change like edema. 3. Subacute scrotal eczema is a transformation from acute scrotal eczema, which is manifested by mild thickening and mild erosion of the scrotal skin, more scales, little exudate, and still severe itching.

1. Drug treatment Since scrotal eczema is related to allergies like eczema in other parts of the body, the drugs used to treat allergies can be used to treat scrotal eczema. For example, some commonly used antihistamines include cyproheptadine, chlorpheniramine, loratadine, cetirizine, etc. Topical drugs are mainly some weak corticosteroid ointments, such as triamcinolone ointment, etc. 2. Scrotal care Avoid re-irritation of the local area and try to avoid scratching the local area with your hands.

Do not use hot water or soapy water to clean the area, and do not apply strongly irritating drugs locally. Pay special attention to not applying hormone drugs locally at will, as these can easily worsen or relapse the disease. Avoid eating irritating foods, such as onions, ginger, garlic, strong tea, coffee, alcohol and other foods and drugs that may cause allergies.
