Sperm survival rate 70%

Sperm survival rate 70%

A sperm survival rate of 70% is within the standard range, which has no effect on pregnancy. Under normal circumstances, sperm motility is divided into four levels, and the quality of sperm in each level is different. The better the sperm motility, the higher the chance of conception. Therefore, male friends should improve the sperm survival rate, which will improve the quality of the fertilized egg and better achieve conception.

Sperm motility of 70% is considered normal. If other sperm indicators are normal, the impact on pregnancy will not be significant. It is generally believed that within 1 hour after ejaculation, the motile sperm should be above 60% to 70% to be normal. If the motile sperm is less than 50%, it is abnormal and is called low sperm motility, also known as asthenospermia.

Normal sperm morphology should be 70-80%, and sperm motility is divided into 4 levels: A level means that the sperm is extremely active and moves forward in a fast straight line; B level means that the sperm is very active and moves forward in a straight line; C level means that the sperm is average and only moves forward in a curved line; D level means that the sperm is poor and only wriggles in place. The sperm that moves forward quickly is A level and the sperm that moves forward slightly slower is B level (A level + B level) <50% or A level sperm <25%. ① Mild asthenozoospermia refers to A level + B level sperm <50%, but >30% or A level sperm <25%, but >10% ② Moderate asthenozoospermia refers to A level + B level sperm <50%, But >30%, of which grade A sperm <10%③ Severe asthenozoospermia refers to the number of grade B + grade C sperm <30%, of which grade A sperm is zero. In asthenozoospermia, sperm is unable to move forward and has difficulty passing through the cervical canal, uterine cavity, and directly reaching the fallopian tube to combine with the egg, thus causing subfertility. Common causes of asthenozoospermia are: 1. The testicular spermatogenic epithelium is not fully mature or damaged and thinned, resulting in poor quality sperm and weak motility; 2. Small amount of semen; 3. Sperm mutations. For example, when the epididymis, seminal vesicles, and prostate are inflamed, the acidity, oxygen supply, nutrition, and metabolism are not conducive to the activity and survival of sperm; if antisperm antibodies are present, sperm can be agglutinated, thereby losing their ability to move.

How to improve sperm motility

1. Focus on health

Pay attention to the care of kidney essence. Doctors say that some male friends are usually busy with work and don't care about health care. But "male health care is extremely important". Male health care is to pay attention to adjusting the diet structure and replenishing kidney essence; second, to reduce the loss of kidney essence. Doctors who combine Chinese and Western medicine to treat male diseases say that from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, kidney essence is also called innate essence, which mainly comes from parents and is continuously nourished and supplemented by acquired diet after birth. Especially for those who lack kidney essence, it is very effective to pay attention to acquired conditioning and strengthen the supplementation and care of kidney essence.

2. Adjust your daily routine

Providing a sperm-friendly environment. People’s work is indeed stressful and they have to attend many social events. However, some bad living habits will lead to a decrease in sperm motility, such as irregular lifestyle, spicy food, and long periods of sitting. Therefore, you should be careful not to drink alcohol or eat spicy food, not wear or wear less jeans, not take or take less saunas, and avoid working environments with high temperatures and radiation. The doctor said: "Sperm is very delicate and fragile. The temperature requirement for its growth environment is generally 1-2 degrees Celsius lower than the body temperature. Therefore, you should maintain sufficient energy to provide sperm with a suitable growth and living environment."
