For men, the penis is a very important organ. It is not only responsible for urination, but also for reproduction. However, sometimes men suffer from penis damage due to accidents, resulting in serious problems with the corpus cavernosum. So from a medical point of view, is it possible to repair the corpus cavernosum of men after it is damaged? Cavernous body injury is related to many factors, but most of the reasons are trauma. The types of cavernous body injury are: ① Squeezing injury: The penis is squeezed by heavy objects for a long time, causing penile edema and necrosis. It often occurs when trenches, tunnels, and houses collapse; ② Impact injury: Due to careless work and other reasons, the penis is hit, causing local congestion and swelling; ③ Stab wound: The wound is often small and deep, with poor drainage and easy to cause deep infection. 5% to 15% of patients experience impotence after penile corpus cavernosum injury, mainly due to penile curvature and erectile pain. When treating penile injuries, it is important to protect blood vessels and nerves to reduce the occurrence of post-injury impotence. The treatment of corpus cavernosum injury includes analgesia, debridement under local anesthesia, suturing, and reduction. In clinical practice, the degree of recovery of penile corpus cavernosum injury needs to be combined with the degree of injury, and not all trauma will affect sexual function. After the penis is ruptured and broken, emergency measures to stop bleeding should be taken first. If the penis is partially broken, the root of the penis can be tied with a rope. If it is broken from the root of the penis, pressure should be applied to stop bleeding, and towels, clothes and other clean cloths can be used. The second is the treatment of the broken penis. If it is properly stored and treated in time, penis replantation can be performed. If the penis is not completely broken, it should not be cut off, but should be kept in place, because even if there are only a few tissues connected, a small amount of blood supply is still preserved, which is also conducive to the survival of the broken penis. If the penis is completely broken, the broken penis should be cleaned, disinfected, and refrigerated immediately. It can be placed in a plastic bag, the bag mouth is tied tightly, and it can be placed in an ice pot with ice cubes around it. Because storage at low temperatures can prolong the time it takes to deteriorate, if handled properly, it is still possible to successfully replant within 18 to 24 hours after injury. |
