One testicle is painful

Testicular pain is one of the common clinical symptoms of men's diseases. It is often caused by trauma, inflammation, tumors, etc. Testicular disease will always affect the normal functioning of key male reproductive organs. It can cause male infertility, so testicular pain should be treated promptly. If the treatment opportunity is delayed, it is likely that the pain is in the body and the pain is in the heart.

Testicular pain symptoms

The level of testicular pain is not directly proportional to the severity of orchitis. The severity of male testicles is not necessarily proportional to the severity of inflammation.

The level of sensitivity varies. When a man has chronic testicular pain, it can last for several days, and the pain is relatively mild and widespread. Sometimes the pain is not so sensitive, and it is a dull pain. Some pain is caused by varicose veins or pain radiating from other parts of the body.

Causes of testicular pain

Many men suffer from testicular problems. Due to lack of professional knowledge, many men will blindly choose treatment methods, which makes the undiagnosed condition more serious. There are many causes of testicular pain, but the main ones are testicular torsion, testicular injury, orchitis, and testicular ischemia pain.

1. Testicular torsion. Testicular torsion is one of the common dangers in the scrotum. Generally, there is strong activity a few hours before the onset of the disease, or the male testicles are subjected to external force. Severe testicular pain suddenly occurs in males during sleep quality or quiet time. It is the first symptom of this disease and one of the key diagnostic evidences. Some patients are accompanied by nausea, dry mouth, testicular swelling, and significant tenderness.

2. Testicular injury. Male testicles are very active in the scrotum and are protected by a strong white membrane, so they are less likely to suffer traumatic injuries. Testicular injuries are mostly related to violence, car accidents, etc. After injury, male testicles experience severe pain accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and even fainting or shock. Routine physical examinations show enlarged testicles, unclear contours, or scrotal hemorrhage, with significant tenderness. B-ultrasound and CT are not only helpful in the diagnosis of the disease, but also can determine the location and extent of testicular injury.

3. Male testicular ischemic pain. Male testicular ischemic pain is common in the elderly. The pain is more severe, aggravated during activity, and relieved during rest. Semen microscopy is normal. It is often due to sclerosis of the male testicular artery, resulting in aortic stenosis. Atherosclerosis of the male testicular aorta is usually a partial manifestation of systemic vascular disease, and is more common on one side, more common on the left than on the right.

4. Orchitis. The male testicles are located in the scrotum, one on each side. The male testicles metabolize male hormones, which play a key role in the growth, development and improvement of the male reproductive organs and the appearance of male secondary sexual characteristics. There are many causes of orchitis. For example, patients with influenza and mumps may have orchitis, which can cause testicular pain and swelling. Gonorrhea is the most common reproductive tract infection, which can cause orchitis in more severe cases. Chronic prostatitis can also cause testicular pain, which is mainly manifested as unilateral pain, often dull pain or extension pain, which is persistent. Patients are mostly young people, and rarely in the elderly.
