Penile curvature can be judged by several factors. The first is physiological factors, because the normal human penis will be curved when it is in the soft stage. This is a physiological manifestation. It will not become straight unless it is erected. Some people's penis is curved even when they are erect. This may be a problem with the development of the corpus cavernosum, which requires treatment after the cause is identified. This is not uncommon among young men, and some of them are indeed worried about it.In fact, for most people, this worry is unnecessary, because their penis does not have any organic lesions, but is slightly deflected or bent in appearance. Although it is still slightly bent after erection, it will not affect normal sexual life. Of course, there are a small number of people whose penile curvature is caused by organic lesions, most of which are caused by lesions of the corpus cavernosum of the penis. Penile curvature caused by organic lesions generally has the following situations: 1.Urethra epispadias and hypospadiasThis is an abnormality in the position of the opening of the urethra during its development. When the urethra opens on the back of the penis, it is called epispadias; when the urethra opens on the ventral side of the penis, it is called urethral fissures. Epispadias and hypospadias are often accompanied by shortening and lack of elasticity of the fascia surrounding the urethra, so the penis will bend upward or downward at ordinary times, and the bend will be more obvious after erection. 2. The corpus cavernosum of the penis develops asymmetrically, with one side being thicker and the other side being thinner. When erect, the penis will bend toward the thinner side, most commonly to the left. 3. Penile injury, fall, gunshot wound, stab wound, etc. When injured, if the tunica albuginea of the corpus cavernosum of the penis is injured and not repaired in time, or if hematoma occurs and then infection occurs, the expansion ability of the tunica albuginea will decrease or disappear due to scar formation, thus causing penile curvature. In addition, improper urethral surgery, penetration of the corpus cavernosum of the urethra, inflammation caused by long-term indwelling catheters, and invasion of the corpus cavernosum can also cause penile curvature. 4. Fibrotic cavernitis This is due to the fibrosis of the tunica albuginea of the penis cavernous body, which causes the penis to bend when erect. This condition is relatively rare in my country. If your penis is bent, you can go to the hospital for a checkup. If it is confirmed that the penis is bent due to organic lesions, it can be treated with appropriate surgery. However, this type of surgery is difficult, and a detailed examination and careful consideration should be made before the surgery. It is generally believed that if the upward bending angle of the penis after erection is less than 40 degrees, and the downward or sideways angle is less than 30 degrees, and those who are satisfied with their sex life do not need surgery. |
