Why does sperm die?

Why does sperm die?

Every human being is formed by the combination of sperm and egg to form a fertilized egg, which grows through the continuous division and differentiation of the fertilized egg. An egg cell without sperm cannot become a fertilized egg, so sperm is a very important part of the fertilized egg. Sperm is a cell containing chromosomes produced by the male reproductive organs. However, some people have dead sperm. Let's take a look at why dead sperm occurs.

Necrospermia refers to a condition in which the sperm survival rate decreases and more than 40% of the sperm are dead.

This disease is related to spermatogenesis defects, varicocele, inflammation of the seminal vesicle, prostate and epididymitis, as well as poor overall nutritional status, vitamin A and E deficiency and other factors. These pathogenic factors can cause sperm growth and development stunting and lead to necrospermia. It is believed that spermatogenesis disorders, inflammation of accessory glands, varicocele, cryptorchidism, and excessively high local temperature of the testicles can increase the number of dead sperm.

Because the infection consumes a large amount of essential nutrients or trace elements such as zinc that sperms rely on for survival, or the pH of semen changes, as well as the emergence of anti-sperm antibodies and other factors, the sperms' survival environment is destroyed and sperms die. Therefore, actively treating accessory gland infection may solve the infertility problem of patients with necrospermia. The key to treating necrospermia is to treat prostatitis and seminal vesiculitis. Common factors causing necrospermia include: ① congenital developmental abnormalities such as bilateral cryptorchidism and congenital testicular dysgenesis; ② systemic factors such as long-term malnutrition, smoking, alcoholism, excessive mental stress, and excessive sexual activity; ③ local factors such as orchitis complicated by mumps, testicular tuberculosis, and varicocele; ④ obstruction of sperm transport such as epididymal and testicular tuberculosis, impotence, and premature ejaculation; ⑤ immune factors: sperm and seminal plasma can produce antibodies against their own sperm in the body, causing male infertility, and the ejaculated sperm will agglutinate themselves and cannot penetrate the cervical mucus.

treatment

1. Drug treatment

For those with poor spermatogenesis, testosterone can be taken orally or implanted subcutaneously for treatment; for those with prostate and seminal vesiculitis, anti-inflammatory and anti-infection treatments can be used; for those with vitamin deficiency, vitamins A and E can be taken orally.

2.Surgery

Surgery can be used to treat patients with necrospermia caused by cryptorchidism and varicocele.

3. Chinese medicine treatment
