What causes men to urinate blood?

Normal urine should be a white, transparent liquid. If it turns yellow, it means you have a sore throat. Just drink more water. Causes of blood in urine

All diseases of the urinary system, diseases of organs adjacent to the urinary tract, and systemic or other organ diseases can cause hematuria. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that no matter what kind of disease causes hematuria, it is all caused by heat disturbing the blood. Heat accumulation in the kidneys and bladder is the main pathological mechanism of hematuria, but it is also related to heart fire, small intestine fire, liver fire, and internal heat due to yin deficiency, which damages the blood vessels, causing the blood to be heated and run wild, and blood to come out of the urine. Hematuria is mostly caused by excessive fire, but there is a distinction between real fire and virtual fire. Real fire is mostly sudden, with bright red blood in the urine, and generally a burning sensation in the urethra when urinating; virtual fire is mostly people with chronic hematuria who have not been cured for a long time, with light red blood in the urine, and no burning sensation when urinating.

(Classification of Symptoms and Treatments·Hematuria): "For example, if the lung and kidney yin are deficient, there is dry mouth and back pain. Take Liuwei Jiuhe Shengmai San. If there is excessive fire in the small intestine and blood seeps into the bladder, take Daochi San. If there is liver fire and the pulse is turbulent. It cannot store blood, take Longdancao Tang with additional ingredients. If there is hematuria due to gallbladder fire. There is headache and dizziness, take Danggui San. If there is hematuria for a long time and the kidney fluid is deficient, take Liuwei Ejiao Yin."

"On Blood Syndromes·Hematuria": "One is internal cause. It is the inherited heat of the heart meridian in the small intestine, and the inherited heat of the liver meridian in the blood chamber. ... To treat inherited heat of the liver meridian, the symptoms include fullness in the lower abdomen, stabbing pain in the ribs, bitter taste in the mouth and deafness, or alternating cold and heat. Longdan Xiegan Decoction with peach kernel, moutan bark, Achyranthes bidentata, and Curcuma aromatica should be used."

"Therefore, the deficiency symptoms of hematuria are no different from the symptoms of metrorrhagia in women, and should be treated with Siwu Decoction with modifications. There are also cases of lung deficiency, which cannot control the downward flow, resulting in hematuria after urination. Diagnosis of hematuria

Bladder damp-heat and hematuria: short, pale urine with blood, bright red or dark red, or even mixed with blood clots. Accompanied by urethral stinging or burning sensation, lower abdominal distension and discomfort. Occasionally fever, bitter mouth and dry throat, red, thin yellow or thin greasy tongue. Rapid pulse.

Liver-gallbladder damp-heat with blood in urine: short, red urine with blood, accompanied by fever, bitter taste in the mouth, thirst without desire to drink, decreased appetite, abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting. Pain in the ribs, or yellowing of the body and eyes, red edges of the tongue, yellowish and greasy taste, and a stringy and rapid pulse.

Hyperactivity of heart fire and hematuria: Deep red blood in urine with burning sensation, red face and dry throat, sores in mouth and tongue, thirst and preference for cold drinks. Feeling hot in the heart, restless at night, red and silky tongue, yellow fur, and rapid pulse.

Kidney Yin deficiency with hematuria: bright red urine with blood, accompanied by dizziness, tinnitus, dry throat, red cheeks, sweating, bone steaming and hot flashes, mental depression, restlessness and insomnia, constipation, red tongue with little coating, and weak and rapid pulse.

Deficiency of both spleen and kidney with hematuria: pale red urine with blood, sallow complexion, fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness, tinnitus, decreased appetite, loose stools, sore waist and legs, pale tongue with thin white coating, and slow pulse.

Identification Analysis

Hematuria due to damp-heat in the bladder and hematuria due to damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder: Both are syndromes of excess heat, caused by excessive heat evil forcing blood to flow. Hematuria due to damp-heat in the bladder is mostly caused by external damp-heat evil, or by indulging in rich food, which breeds damp-heat. The damp-heat evil gathers heat and accumulates in the bladder, causing dysfunction of qi transformation, so there is distension in the lower abdomen and hot pain in the urethra, and the systemic symptoms are relatively mild; hematuria due to damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder is mostly caused by internal damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder, which flows down to the eye and bladder, so there is fever, bitter taste in the mouth, nausea, vomiting, pain in the ribs, and the systemic symptoms are relatively severe. The former is treated by clearing heat and promoting diuresis, cooling blood and stopping bleeding, and the prescription is Artemisia selengensis; the latter is treated by clearing the liver and gallbladder, cooling blood and stopping bleeding, and the prescription is Longdan Xiegan Decoction with appropriate addition of hemostatic ingredients.

Hyperactive heart fire and hematuria due to kidney yin deficiency: both are heat syndromes, caused by fire disturbing the blood vessels and damaging them. Hyperactive heart fire and hematuria are mostly caused by overwork, which transfers heat to the small intestine and burns the blood vessels, so the urine is red; hematuria due to kidney yin deficiency is mostly caused by the yang deficiency and the fire moving rashly, burning the blood vessels, so the urine is bright red or light red. The difference is that the former is often accompanied by restlessness and insomnia, and sores in the mouth and tongue. The treatment should be to clear the heart and purge fire, cool the blood and stop bleeding, and the prescription is Daochi San Jiawei; the latter is often accompanied by dizziness, tinnitus, bone steaming and hot flashes, and the treatment should be to nourish yin and benefit the kidney, calm the blood vessels and stop bleeding, and the prescription is Zhibai Dihuang Wan Jiawei.

Hematuria due to deficiency of spleen and kidney: This is a symptom of deficiency of Yang Qi, mostly due to the spleen failing to regulate blood and the kidney failing to seal and store. Therefore, the urine is frequent and clear, and the blood is mostly light red. Clinically, it can be identified by combining the concomitant symptoms of deficiency of spleen and kidney. The treatment should be to strengthen the spleen and kidney, replenish Qi and consolidate the body. The prescription is Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with Wubi Shanyao Pills, and add hemostatic ingredients as appropriate.

In addition, there are cases where blood stasis blocks the bladder, and blood does not flow through the meridians, resulting in hematuria. The characteristic is that the blood is dark purple, and there are often blood clots. There are also symptoms of dysuria, mild stinging, turbid urine, and blood stasis. Treatment should analyze different situations such as blood stasis caused by injury, blood stasis due to qi deficiency, or blood stasis due to cold, and use various methods to activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis. Clinically, distinguishing the color of blood and urine is quite helpful for differential diagnosis. For example, purple-red or bright red urine is mostly due to excess heat, light red is mostly due to qi deficiency, and bright red with bone steaming and fatigue fever is mostly due to deficiency heat. Purple-dark urine is blood stasis.

2. Single prescription

(1) 30-60g Imperata root, decocted in water. Suitable for various types of hematuria.

(3) Take 30-60g of She Cai, decoct in water and drink. Suitable for treating hematuria caused by deficiency of yin.

3. Diet therapy

(1) Stewed Pork with Eclipta prostrata: 30g Eclipta prostrata and 200g lean pork, boil together and drink the soup. Suitable for treating hematuria due to deficiency of yin.
