What kind of disease is varicocele?

What kind of disease is varicocele?

Varicitis is a common men's disease, most of which are acute. It is caused by pathogen infection, bacteria or tuberculosis. After suffering from varicocele, the patient will have inflammation in the abdomen. More serious cases may be caused by infection with filarial infection, syphilis spirochete and other pathogens. Therefore, when varicocele occurs, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible to check what causes it. Don't ignore the condition for a long time. Ignoring it will only lead to the aggravation of the condition. In terms of treatment, you must also cooperate with health care and treatment methods to proceed slowly. Only coordinated treatment can be more effective and prevent the occurrence of some complications and cause a little harm to the body.

Causes

Most cases of spermatic corditis are acute, and the pathogens are often common bacteria or tuberculosis, and most of them are accompanied by diseases such as epididymitis. In addition, there are also pathogenic pathogens such as filarial worms and Treponema pallidum. Most of these pathogens invade the spermatic cord through the lymphatic vessels, causing inflammation of the spermatic cord tissue, and sometimes pathological changes such as abscess, necrosis, and granuloma can be formed.

Typical symptoms

The onset is acute, with obvious local pain, which can radiate along the spermatic cord to the groin, and even to the upper or lower abdomen.

Vital signs

The surface skin is red and swollen, the spermatic cord is thickened in a hammer-shaped or cord-like manner, and is obviously painful to touch. The vas deferens is unclear. If abscesses are formed, there may be a sense of fluctuation.

The spermatic cord starts from the inguinal groove, runs obliquely inward and downward, passes through the scrotum, and ends at the posterior edge of the testicle. It is a soft round cord that suspends the testicle and epididymis. After getting spermatic corditis, inflammation can cause the spermatic cord to thicken and swell. When it adheres to the surrounding tissues, it can cause scrotal swelling pain, lower abdominal pain, and perineal pulling pain. If the infection is severe, there may also be systemic reactions such as fever and headache.

There are also some diseases that have similar symptoms to those of spermatic cord inflammation, such as scrotal, perineal and lower abdominal distension and pain, which should be distinguished. These diseases include varicocele, hydrocele, spermatic cord or epididymal tuberculosis, testicular torsion and traumatic hematoma, scrotal hemofilariasis, spermatic cord tumor, etc. Treatment should be carried out after a clear diagnosis.

Treatment and health care

The following treatments are available for the treatment of varicocele:

1. Systemic antibiotics.

2. Use a scrotal support to lift the scrotum and apply hot compress and physical therapy.

3. For chronic varicocele caused by vasectomy, 12.5 mg of hydrocortisone acetate, 80,000 units of gentamicin, plus 3-5 ml of 1% procaine (add 5 mg of chymotrypsin if necessary) can be injected locally once a week, and generally it will be effective after 3-5 injections.

4. Avoid sexual stimulation and refrain from sexual intercourse to reduce excessive congestion and local damage to the reproductive organs.

5. Avoid spicy, fried or other hot foods during treatment.
