What are the symptoms and dangers of prostatitis?

Male prostatitis is a common male disease in clinical practice, which is more common in middle-aged and elderly people. It is mainly caused by bad living habits and prostate aging. Now the incidence rate is getting younger and younger, mostly due to excessive eating, lack of sleep and physical weakness among young people.

Symptoms of prostatitis

The symptoms of chronic prostatitis are complex and varied, and sometimes they are easily confused with simple neurasthenia. The treatment effect is not very satisfactory, and the treatment standards are not unified. From the clinical manifestations, patients may have urethral irritation, frequent urination, urgency, urethral burning pain, mucus, sticky or purulent secretions in the urethra in the morning, cloudy urine or white liquid flowing out of the urethra after defecation, discomfort in the posterior urethra, perineum and anus, and sometimes pain in the penis, testicles and groin, accompanied by ejaculation pain, hematospermia, premature ejaculation, impotence, and symptoms of autonomic dysfunction such as fatigue, dizziness, insomnia and depression.

1. Urinary discomfort: Bladder irritation symptoms may occur, such as frequent urination, burning and pain in the urethra during urination, and radiating to the glans penis. There may be mucus and other secretions in the urethra in the early morning, and there may also be a feeling of difficulty in urination.

2. Local symptoms: Distension and discomfort in the posterior urethra, perineum and anus. The bloating and pain will be aggravated by squatting, defecation and sitting on a chair for a long time.

3. Radiating pain: The pain of chronic prostatitis is not limited to the urethra and perineum, but also radiates to the vicinity, with lower back pain being the most common. In addition, the penis, spermatic cord, testicles and scrotum, lower abdomen, inguinal area (thigh root), thigh, rectum, etc. can all be affected.

4. Sexual dysfunction: Chronic prostatitis can cause loss of libido, painful ejaculation, premature ejaculation, etc. It can also affect the quality of semen. White discharge from the urethra may occur after urination or defecation, and hematospermia may occur when combined with seminal vesiculitis.

5. Other symptoms: Chronic prostatitis may be accompanied by neurasthenia, manifested by fatigue, dizziness, insomnia, etc. Long-term persistent prostatitis may even cause allergic reactions in the body, resulting in conjunctivitis, arthritis and other lesions.

6. The low back pain caused by chronic prostatitis is easily confused with the low back pain due to orthopedic reasons, such as myofasciitis and lumbar muscle strain, but the latter is mostly near the beltline, which is higher than the low back pain caused by prostatitis.

The dangers of prostatitis

1. Weakened male sexual ability: Prostatitis can cause the male's sexual nerves and nerve centers to be frequently excited. However, if they remain in an excited state for a long time, it can easily lead to the suppression of male sexual arousal, thus inducing male sexual dysfunction.

2. Induce gynecological diseases in women: Due to some bacterial infections that induce prostatitis in men, it is easy for these bacteria to enter the female reproductive organs during sexual intercourse, causing women to be infected and induce gynecological inflammation.

3. Endocrine disorders: The prostate of a normal man can secrete a variety of active substances, but suffering from prostatitis can easily affect the secretions, leading to endocrine disorders in men, causing symptoms such as dizziness and fatigue in men.

4. Life and work are affected: Men suffering from prostatitis may experience frequent urination, urgency, and incomplete urination, which often cause patients to lose control of their emotions and become anxious, thus affecting their normal life and work.

5. Infection of other adjacent organs: If prostatitis is not treated for a long time, it is easy for the inflammation in men to spread, thereby infecting adjacent organs and inducing the occurrence of inflammation.
