What causes scrotal effusion?

Male testicular hydrocele is a symptom caused by the accumulation of fluid in the vaginal cavity that surrounds the testicles beyond the normal amount. So, what causes testicular hydrocele?

The cause of the disease has not been fully determined. It may be due to increased metabolism and decreased absorption of the tunica vaginalis, or congenital factors, such as defects in the tunica vaginalis lymphatic vascular system, or it may be caused by undetected or healed epididymitis.

Caused by

There are primary diseases, such as acute orchitis, epididymitis, spermatic cord inflammation, etc., which stimulate the increase of tunica vaginalis extravasation and lead to hemorrhage. Scrotal surgery damages lymphatic vessels and leads to reflux obstruction, as well as high fever, heart failure, hepatic ascites, etc., mainly manifested as subacute hydrocele; chronic secondary hemorrhage is more common in chronic orchitis, epididymitis, syphilis, tuberculosis, male testicular tumors, etc., leading to increased metabolism of tunica vaginalis and hemorrhage. In addition, filariasis and schistosomiasis can also cause hydrocele.

How to treat testicular effusion

1. No need for treatment. When a newborn has hydrocele, it usually disappears on its own before the age of 2, so there is no need to rush for treatment. If it does not disappear after the age of 2, many can be cured at the age of 4 or 5. If it is still not cured after the age of 6, a puncture is performed to extract the fluid. Most of them will not recur after liposuction.

2. Injection treatment: After the fluid is drawn, stimulating drugs such as silicine and sodium iodine are injected into the vaginal cavity to produce inflammatory adhesions to resolve the vaginal cavity. This method has a large reaction, the adhesion is not thorough, and multi-chamber vaginal hydrocele is produced. It brings a lot of difficulties to surgical treatment. It is rarely used.

3. Surgical treatment Congenital hydrocele cannot be treated by the above two methods, and surgical treatment is the main treatment. The purpose of surgical treatment is to make a high ligation of the hernia neck at the internal ring line to block the liver ascites. The following hernia sacs are not solved.

4. Chinese medicine experts believe that according to the symptoms, it is a disease of Qi and blood deficiency, dampness, cold stagnation in the lower part of the body. It is appropriate to use Qi-tonifying and exterior-strengthening, warming and transforming cold and dampness, and supplemented with Qi-regulating products. Hydrocele is a disease of edema caused by water retention in the scrotum. Symptoms include swelling and pain in the scrotum, occasional genital sweating, or swelling of the scrotum that is bright like amethyst, not red or hot; or itching, rupture and discharge of yellow fluid; or a sound of water when pressing the lower abdomen.
